Came to visit the shop and cafe. Stood around in the shop for a good while before anyone appeared to help. Gave us one sample of whisky which was ok, but said we would need to pay for any more than one. Not very impressed, especially after the friendliness of all the other distilleries on Islay - not likely to splash out £90 odd on a bottle of whisky without trying it.

Not amazing service, even though it was very quiet on the day we visited. Shame, as all the other distilleries were the complete opposite.

Tour enjoyable For a smaller distillery
Shame we could not try all the whiskys

All in all a great visit that is highly recommended

At first I thought this distillery is a great experience (small family farm vibe) but the whisky itself probably couldn't keep up with the big brands - I was wrong! The "sherry hogshead finish" became one of our favorites, it's beautiful and a bit different. If I hadn't too much time on islay I'd skip one if the big distillery tours to see this one instead!

Superb distillery with extensive shop and cafe serving hot and cold meals. One of the few distilleries to still practice floor malting - quite impressive! One of the newest distilleries on islay - the oldest whisky on offer when I visited in 2017 was a 2009, which gives you an idea. The Loch gorm variety is superb!

Lovely little inland distillery on Islay. If I go back I'll do the tour and special tasting and actually eat in their cafe. Plan to spend a little time here to take in their phenomenal whiskies and see how they are bringing back micro-distilling to Scotland.

If you are doing distillery yours on Islay, do not skip this one! As this distillery is still small, they are forced to do everything themselves, which creates unique opportunity for visitors to see everything, from fermentation floors to bottling and bottle/cardboard decoration, which you won't be able to see in other distilleries on the island.

Good café and visitor centre. One of the last wee farm distilleries in Scotland. It is fascinating to see a Distillery at its very threadbare level. Wee stills crammed in with the mash tun and an open spirit safe - this feels as close to peatreek as we'll ever get in today's age. It's worth a visit if you want to get a feel of whisky making without any of the gloss.

Went for a tour with tasting. It's a nice little distillery with good service, good food and great whisky.
