Lovely place but was closed when we got there, if it's raining do bring good foot wear as the path upto castle is very flooded in places, enjoy :)

Fantastic visit. Not one of the most famous castles in Scotland, but the views are great and the small hike to the castle is awesome. Highly recommended

We were expecting some more conserved site with reception etc but it looks like abandoned and desolated. There are barely cartels inside describing the history. There are NO signposts so follow the navigator directions. If it's been raining it's all muddy all around so wear good outdoor shoes! Worth a visit if you have spare time and you are in the area.

Not the easiest place to find from the road, we drove past the turning the first time. Nice walk down to the castle and very impressive setting. A lovely find. We were lucky enough to spot an osprey on the walk back too.

Very enjoyable experience to explore at own pace. Difficult parking, not suitable for individuals with mobility issues. Great views, highly recommend stopping by for an hour or less. Great photo opportunity.

Absolutely beautiful castle with stunning views of Loch Awe. Visited on a sunny May day and were rewarded by seeing nesting Swallows darting around the castle.

We have been to lots of castles in Scotland and this is a true gem. Very cool little castle.

My favorite part of our trip to Scotland. I highly recommend the trip to explore the castle!

A short walk to a ruined castle. You can climb up some of the towers and there is a lovely view along the loch. Not a lot of information on the castle though.
