very quiet place!

Fascinating little grave yard and ruined church, several miles drive past the Ardbeg distillery. Historically interesting, with an informational plaque on the wall. Cross is approx 1300 years old! Change is often left on or near the cross (for luck?)

Definitely worth stopping by while being on Islay. Although rather small, Kildalton cross is in a beautiful, quite scenery. The trip from Port Ellen is also worth taking as it offers great sceneries.

The cross is enormous and very impressive. The eroded grace markers and church ruins make this place spooky.

Well worth a visit; a magnificent cross in the cemetery of an abandoned church and with glorious views over hills and mountains! Even though I'm not religious this place still somehow has a special atmosphere.

Serene place. Loved the (honesty pot) cake /coffee provided by an 'angel'
