Fantastic place to stay. Great surroundings, friendly staff and very comfortable room. The only issue is that the wifi is terrible

Fantastic place to stay. Service excellent and the food in the restaurant was very good. Room very comfortable and large. 3 lovely lounges to sit in. Only 1 minor issue they need to get their wifi sorted out.

Was a beautiful sunny day and we were able to sit outside. Organic surroundings in country location. Lovely friendly staff. The inside of the Hotel was inspiring especially the staircase. The Hotel decor is original and authentic. Very romantic setting ❤

Haven't stayed here however of interest is the Memoirs of the Rebellion of 1745 written by the aid de camp to Lord Murray named Chevalier de Johnstone who sought refuge of Mr Gordon of Kildrummy who may have lived here and who was assisted hy him in his escape to Lady Jane Douglas and eventually to France. Though his memoirs suggest the castle was about 10 miles north of here and this hotel looks 19thC Gothic. If anyone knows let me know? This is also the place of a possible battle between Robert the Bruce and the English.
