Kileekie Traditional Herefords

At Kileekie Farm we are building up our herd of Traditional Hereford (Original population) cattle for 100% pasture fed rare breed beef and genetic conservation.

Original population Traditional Hereford cattle are recognised as a Category 5 rare breed by the Rare Breed Survival Trust. These cattle are descended from the original population of English Hereford cattle with no imported bloodlines. They are the ultimate foragers, capable of producing exceptional beef entirely from pasture with no concentrate feeding. They are noted for ease of calving and very docile temperaments, which is why we chose them as our breed of cattle.
