Killie Flyers Description
Flyball is a relay race with four dogs on a team. The course consists of a start /finish line, four hurdles spaced 10 feet apart, a box and a backboard. The first hurdle is 6 feet from the start /finish line and the box is 15 feet from the last hurdle. The backboard is placed 7 feet upwards behind the box. The dogs jump the hurdles and step on the spring loaded box that shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the ball and then returns over the 4 hurdles; when the dog crosses the start /finish line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs run without errors wins the heat. Each heat consists of 2 teams in a knockout race

Well done Floss and Izzy today.
Floss isn't a very confident dog but is gradually coming out of her shell. Today we managed 4 jumps and onto our mock chute with no netting and loads off noise. Big step forward for this timid little one.
Izzy and mum have been doing some work at home, and after some tips last weekend, Izzy has returned with a much improved turn. Wont be too long before this little nutter is in open at this rate.... Keep up the good work guys.

Glorious day for training. Beginners are on week 3 and are all progressing nicely, won't be giving individual gold stars out as they are all doing really well. Mainstream training, a few months ago we changed our training structure and it all looks like it's starting to come good, time will tell. Dogs all looking good and handlers are all smiling. All in all a good morning of training.
Mid week training is back and Quinn celebrated by bringing the ball back 🤗🤗 nearly every run😱
Don't you just love it when you have a dog with issues and you get to see it progress. The last couple off weekends we have seen a dog that couldn't get off a leash and a dog with hardly any confidence make a turn around. Today we saw little Ben run without a leash on for the first time, outdoors, and he never ran away, yeah!! Also little Remy is finding her confidence big style, running up the lanes with the look of a dog with no fears at all. Well done to our two little cockers and hopefully get to see you strut your stuff at outdoors comps this year, and well done to Ilda and Sheila on your persistence with your little ones.

Just like to welcome our latest batch of beginners to the club. So welcome to Lorna and Brae, Millie and Sulley, Jill and Sox, Caroline and Rolo, Jacqueline and Jackson, Amie and Reggie and lastly Claire and Skye.
Unfortunately Sox and his mum got lost and missed their 1st session and Rolo was otherwise engaged but hopefully we will get you guys up and running this weekend.
