Are you ready for this? At our recent shopping event at Kingswood Hotel Burntisland our very own Stormy Stan took to the dance floor during a belly dancing display... we even heard he was so keen to get involved that he jumped in before the dancers had completed their set! Anyway, here's the evidence! What do you think of his skillz??

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas Fayre. We had a great morning and so did Stormy Stan who got his Santa suit out for the event!
We are very grateful to everyone who supported the event and helped us raise a fantastic £1,345.00.
This helps to round up a very busy year for our volunteer crew who have chalked up 69 callouts so far in 2018, one of our busiest years ever.... #rnli #kinghornrnli

Our local fundraisers will be in the McKenzie Street Aldi in Kirkcaldy (off St Clair street) on the 15th and 18th of November, and in the Ferrard Road Aldi store (near train station) from the 14th-17th as well, raising money to help save lives at sea.
Pop in to say hello if you are in the area!

Whilst recovering the lifeboat tonight we found this little lad on the beach. After a quick casualty care assessment we carefully took him back to the safety of the water... hopefully another life saved! #rnli

Everyone loves a dog rescue. Here is a compilation of callouts to our four-legged friends from around the coast, featuring our very own rescue of Coffee at Cockenzie in September.
If you're a dog owner and your pooch gets into difficulty at the coast, please don't go and try and rescue them yourself, but call the Coastguard on 999 who will alert the necessary lifeboats and rescue teams.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Fish Supper event on Saturday night.
We raised a fantastic £860 which included some generous donations. We had a great evening and hope everyone who came along did too. It was also great to see teams from Anstruther Lifeboat and RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat.
Our next event will be our Christmas Shopping evening on Friday 2nd November. Further details will be found here soon.

We were requested to launch on service on Saturday at 16.15 after a person got into difficulty whilst launching their boat at Port Seton harbour.
Our volunteer crew arrived after a rough crossing of the Forth and helped to move the boat and its trailer to safety. One person had managed to get out of the water and was treated by Fisherrow Coastguard prior to our arrival. North Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team was also in attendance.
Here is a video of the callout. Our team was M...ike Chalmers, Megan Davidson, Kerr Milne, Kirstie Wakefield and Guy Harding. #rnli

Kinghorn Crew Goes for Coffee at Cockenzie
Our volunteer crew was called out to Cockenzie on Wednesday morning after Coffee the dog took a tumble over the wall. This was our second canine rescue in three days, but we’re always glad to help.
Coffee the dog was glad to see us as we picked him up from a concrete weir beside the former power station and reunited him with his owner. Our #sarfamily from Fisherrow Coastguard and North Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team were also on sce...ne to help out. Turn up the volume and enjoy the video!
Coffee’s owner did the right thing by calling the Coastguard rather than attempting the rescue themselves. We always recommend that you should never enter the water yourself, and always call the Coastguard as they can quickly deploy a variety of SAR assets.
Our crew was Mark Brown, Mike Chalmers, Paul Stather, Jodie Duchain, and John Ketchin.

Our volunteer crew rescued Jura the black labrador after she fell over a seawall on Sunday.
The dog cut her leg on the rocks during the fall but our crew of Leanne Taylor, Matthew Mulligan and Claire Duncan were quickly onscene to take the dog to safety. Shorecrew Jodie Duchain and John Ketchin helped launch the lifeboat.
The wee dog was happy to see her owner at Cockenzie harbour on arrival where Fisherrow Coastguard was also on hand to assist.... #rnli #thedogrescuers

Our #sarfamily from RNLI Lifeguards Scotland successfully completed their first sponsored swim and paddle today.
They set off from Burntisland and six lifeguards swam to Pettycur and six went on rescue boards to Kinghorn Lifeboat Station.
Some of our crew provided safety cover for the event, along with a number of supporters, and the lifeboat came along to support after a callout to Cockenzie.
... Well done team, it was a long swim!
So far, they have raised over £400 for the RNLI. If you'd like to support them, please see the link in the post below. #rnli

Come down and support them as they depart the Beacon at Burntisland and swim to Pettycur and paddle on their rescue boards to Kinghorn Lifeboat Station. They are raising money for the RNLI and some of our team will be helping with safety support. #sarfamily #team999 #rnli

Press Release
Kinghorn RNLI to Host Fish Supper event
Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat volunteers are calling on supporters to join them for their Fish Supper event on Saturday 6th October at the Lifeboat Station.
... Our crewmembers regularly get called away from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to go to sea, in often horrendous conditions, and now we are putting out a ‘shout’ for our supporters to join the crew for a fish supper to help raise funds for this essential service.
The event will be held in the boat hall of the Lifeboat Station, starting at 7.30, with the suppers served around 8pm.
Crewmember and organiser Mel McGarva said, ‘This will be our fourth Fish Supper in the boathouse and we’ve been a sell-out every year so far. It would be great to see everyone come along to join us.
‘Bring your family and friends and meet the crew whilst enjoying a fish supper. This year the fish suppers will be supplied by the well-known Valente family of Kirkcaldy.
‘Fish suppers will be served in the boat hall amongst much of the lifesaving equipment; the boat will be moved onto the slipway for the evening.
‘It’ll be a great opportunity to see the kit, speak to the crew and most importantly have fun!
‘Tickets are £10, and this includes your fish supper. Please bring your own bottle if you need something to wash your supper down! We’ll have cans of juice for sale, as well as tea and coffee.
‘If you can’t make the event, but would like to support the event, you could organise your own fish themed supper party, and raise money for the RNLI in the process. Full details are available at https://rnli.org/fish-supper ‘
Tickets are available for our station supper from Kinghorn Community Centre. They will be available for sale until Friday 5th October.
