Leisurely sail down to Kirkcaldy for lunch and back.

A good reminder of why you should always wear a lifejacket. Even in a harbour the cold would eventually have affected him. At Aberdour the boats are anchored to chains on the bottom so he could not have worked his way along a mooring line to the shore though possibly could have found a ladder on another boat.

A couple of boats made it to Inchkeith today while others stayed in the bay. However when the wind died completely they had to be towed back.

The Landward programme on BBC1 at 7.30 PM tonight is looking at the Firth of Forth. Some of the filming was done at Aberdour using the boat club rescue boat.

User

Possibly more exciting than most of us do these days.

This may be of interest.

A day late but worth sharing.

Not sailing but funny.

The"Come and Try" at the loch went well today depite the North wind coming over the hill leading to perverse conditions on the water including coming from the South. The Kinghorn Rowers, canoe club and radiuo controlled boats were also busy.
