Kingsmeadows Nursery & K2 Out Of School Club

We had a lovely visit this afternoon from some residents from Peebles Nursing Home. We played dominoes, coloured in and the children sang some songs whilst Margaret played her guitar. Everyone really enjoyed it 😊😊. We have some photos that I'll pop up on our sharing wall in the main hallway for you to have a look at. Visits will continue to happen once a month and will alternate between our setting and the home 😊👍

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our Brain Tumour Research Fundraiser. We managed to raise £624.29 in total. We are delighted with the amount raised and would like to thank our children and staff for organising it all. Biggest well done!! 😊👍

We will be holding our first Beltane Meeting of the year on Monday 29th April here in the setting at 6pm. All parents and carers welcomed and encouraged to come along!

Today we have been trying out different experiments including - a homemade lava lamp, dancing grapes, fruit oxidation and fizzy fruit!

What an amazing day - we've attached a few photos to share with you. So far we have managed to raise over £600.00 for Brain Tumour Research. We are so proud of the children and staff for their fantastic efforts! We had a little competition for best hat which we split into 3 categories: boy, girl and staff - Oscar and Chloe were the worthy winners for the children with their huge sombreros and Janey also won - she kept her hat on all day!!! :D Katie won the jar of sweeties an...d was delighted! We have a list of who won what prize in the raffle which will be on display in the setting. Thanks to all of you that contributed to this fundraiser - we really appreciate it. One more day until our Hat Day in aid of the Brain Tumour Research Trust. K2 have also been busy selling Raffle tickets which will be drawn tomorrow afternoon (Friday 29th March). Tickets will be on sale for the rest of today (Thursday) and Friday morning up until 12.30pm. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.

We have wrist bands (£2) and hat badges (£1) for sale to raise money towards our Brain Tumour Research Fundraiser. Raffle tickets will be on sale until Thursday! ☺️👍

All children and staff are encouraged to wear a hat to the setting on Friday 29th March. K2 children have planned an action packed afternoon full of fun and games!

We have restarted our visits along to Peebles Nursing Home. We had a lovely morning - Mylo even enjoyed himself too! Visits will happen once a month but we will alternate between the children visiting the home and the residents visiting our setting! Watch this space!
