These photos are taken from the new pontoon near the campsite. The pontoon is open to the public and will make Loch Dunvegan an even better place to bring your boat.

A new year at Kinloch.

A wintry January day at the campsite.

Now we've hit mid-summer, the sun set starts at 10.30pm and it's not really getting dark at all before the sun is up again at 4.30 am.

User

8pm on a Thursday with 2 hours to go before sunset. It's been a truly lovely day on Skye.

User

Eider Duck in Loch Dunvegan just off the site. I've seen quite a lot of them lately, just never when I have time to grab my camera.

Sunset over Pitch 22 tonight.

We’ll be back!

Perfect location, views to die for. Great folk who run it and great fellow campers too.

Facilities perfectly adequate, clean and efficient.

Would recommend the old school restaurant for a really nice meal as a treat.(not cheap)

User

We stayed for 1 night, campsite is immaculate, facilities all new. The view is spectacular and we loved it. New owners lovely and friendly. We wish them all the best for a busy season.

User

We spent 2 nights here in this beautiful spot and highly recommend it. The location is superb: it's close to the town and the Castle and Gardens and there are some lovely local walks too. The bathroom and scullery facilities were very good: clean and very well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. With 45 mph winds and lashing rain on our first night we had an eventful time.

User

We can not fault this place Paul & Christine were great, considering they have only been running the place 3 weeks as well! Had a perfect spot right over the water, the services there were great, all kept really clean .

Paul and Christine were all ways around if we needed anything and were happy to help.

We would happily return and wish them most success for their future we are sure it will be a good one!

We are currently at Kinloch Campsite after being very disappointed with the Skye Camping and Caravan Club site. Kinloch Campite’s new owners (as of March 2018) Paul and Christine are only 4 weeks into their new ownership but they managed to book us in for 3 nights at very short notice (i.e. we were 20mins away and needed a pitch that night). Paul and Christine were so helpful and welcoming. They pitched us up in an overflow pitch for the first night (mind even this has a loch view and was near amenities which are spot on....clean and very hot showers). Then over the next 2 nights we were allowed to select our pitch right on the loch side (our pitch is no 23 and is feet from the lochside, what a view). Most pitches give you a fantastic view though. The site has been fully booked and everything has run smoothly. We will definitely be coming back to Kinloch Campsite; with just a 2min walk into local village with bakery, shop, pub, restaurants, cafe, museum, walking distance of Dunvegan Castle, Macleod Tables and most importantly for us dog walks from site it is perfect (i.e. we found Skye Club Site limited as local village was a 30min walk down a narrow road with no pavement for safety of kids and dogs, no dog walks directly from Skye Club Site bar a muddy walk around loch through a croft farm, Skye Club Site did not allow our awning on any pitch as it would extend 30cm onto grass. So around 30mins after pulling onto CCC Skye Club Site we decided to wave goodbye to it and the fees we had already paid and move to a more welcoming site as muddy dogs in a motorhome doesn't mix whereas at Kinloch we had a choice of pitches to choose from all of which would accommodate our awning which is perfect to dry off and towel down muddy dogs and muddy kids. So Kinloch fitted our needs perfectly. Thank you Paul and Christine and we wish you good luck with your new business.....we will be back

User

Very well maintained campsite in a lovely location. Quiet and family friendly, facilities are the cleanest I have ever encountered. The campsite is also close to Dunvegan centre, and a good base for exploring the local area.

User

Stayed there in July great site and friendly owners who would go out of their way to help will certainly return and highly recommend

User

Stayed at the Kinloch campsite (March 2018) in a campervan and couldn’t be happier that we chose there to stay. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, site was nice, clean and tidy. Showerblock was fine, no complaints. Staff even helped us as we were novices at campervaning. Great views included. Short walk into town for a drink and some shops. Cannot fault it one bit and hope to return. Thanks again for your help and making our stay very enjoyable.

Plot 23 was the pitch to be!

We had originally booked for 6 nights and ended up staying for 2 weeks having had a look at the other sites on our exploring around the island.

Kinloch pitches are spacious with views of the loch and mountains and from the minute you arrive Paul and Christine make you feel most welcome.

The other bonus is that Dunvegan is just a 5 minute walk away, with a lovely bakery, coffee shops, chippy, general store and a lovely restaurant to try too.

We will be back!

User

My god if you go to Skye you have to stop here we could not believe how utterly stunning this camp site is. We were made to feel very welcome five star

User

If you go to Skye and you want peace and quiet this is the place for you

Stunning place can’t wait to go back

User

I would recommend this campsite . Beautiful bay with terrific sunsets, the camp is well spaced out and every pitch is guaranteed a stunning view even if it's not the sea. The village is only a 5 minute walk away with Dunvegan castle just down the road .

The camp site is clean and tidy, the staff are terrific so helpful and friendly, the toilets are immaculate and modern always with hot water, laundry and washing facilities as well. This is a camp site for those of you who wish to leave your busy lives behind and go somewhere that's trouble free and relaxing, I will definitely be visiting again.

User

Highly recommend the Kinloch campsite. We stayed in many campsites over a 2 week trip and this was by far the best site we stayed in. It was clean, well maintained and in a great location. We woke to beautiful water views each morning and with a short walk we're in the village of Dunvegan. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Can't wait to return in the future!

User

Fantastic site. Camped just the one night but what a good impression. From booking in to the toilet / shower block , everything was first class. Within walking distance to Dunvegan for the shops. Will be back.

We stayed here again this year - end of May/start of June. Things have changed a bit under the new management and we felt that they were slightly overwhelmed with the volume of campers and especially motor homes. However, they are trying really hard to get things right and improve the site so we're looking forward to going back again next year and seeing what's been achieved. Hope it all goes well.
