Lovely day at Lussa for today's competiton with just a few showers to contend with, and it showed with some good catches. Jimmy Russell, Graham Paterson, John McCallum, Cameron McKinven and Alastair Forbes all got 1 rainbow each. Sizes ranged from 1lb 3oz to 1lb 9oz. John MacDonald had 2 for 2lbs 15oz, Donnie Lawson 2 for 3lb 3oz, Reid Anderson 2 for 3lb 7oz. Karen Forbes had 3 for 4lb 7oz, Archie McCallum got 3 for 5lb 5oz . Alex Gilles had 4 for 6lbs 1oz, and the winner today with 4 for 6lbs 11oz is Willie Downie. Well done Willie 🎣🎣🎣

What a difference some rain makes - Lussa Loch, 5th June 2019.
Competition result from Auchalochy last night where the weather made it tricky. John MacDonald got 1 bow for 1lb 12 oz, Alex Gilles had 2 for 2lb 12oz and Graham Paterson 2 for 3lb 5. The winner tonight was Donnie Lawson with 3 for 5lb 7oz. Well done Donnie 🎣🎣

Full competition results for Kintyre A.C vs Lochgilphead A.C at Auchalochy on May 19th.13 Anglers fished for Kintyre and 9 from Lochgilphead so 2 names from Kintyre were drawn out the hat after the competition and their weights were added to Lochgilphead's total bag. Kintyre's total - Jimmy Russell had 9lbs including fish of the day at 4lbs exactly, Reid Anderson 7lbs 12oz, Donnie Lawson 7lbs 4oz, Graham Paterson 7lbs 1oz, Archie McCallum 6lbs 15oz, Alex Gilles 6lbs 3oz, Came...ron McKinven 5lbs 3oz, John McCallum 5lbs, Steph Jameson 4lbs 10oz and Bobby Colby 1lb 9oz. Lochgilphead's total - Donald MacGregor had 6lbs 15oz, Dugald MacGilp 6lbs 11oz, Ronnie Dodd 5lbs 8oz, Sandy McDonald 5lbs 8oz, George Mitchell 5lbs 7oz, Donald Blair 5lbs 3oz, Murdo McDonald 4lbs 10oz, Rudi Graham 4lbs 6oz and David Philips 2lbs 11oz. Adding in the two Kintyre names drawn were John MacDonald 1lb 12oz and Alastair Forbes 1lbs 8oz. That means that the two totals are as follows. Kintyre 61lbs 1oz - Lochgilphead 50lbs 3oz. Kintyre take a 10lb 14oz lead into the second leg at Lochgilphead on Sunday 8th of September. Well done to all, especially Jimmy and Donald for bagging the heaviest catches for their respective teams. Also thanks to the Lochgilphead team for making the journey down, we'll see you all in September 🎣🎣

Fly box found at Auchalochy this afternoon. (19/05/19). Will be at Clubhouse from tomorrow night.
KINTYRE vs LOCHGILPHEAD.
It's the first leg of the Kinloch Shield tomorrow (Sunday 19th May 2019) and, due to the conditions at Lussa, we have a new venue this year.
Competition will now be at Auchalochy from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
