The psoas is a general term, but most often refers to the combination of two muscles, the iliacus and the psoas major muscle. Together these two muscles are better known as the Iliopsoas muscle. They are linked together because of their common and combined attachment to the femur.
The psoas is a deep-seated core muscle connecting the lumbar vertebrae to the femur. The psoas major is the biggest and strongest player in a group of muscles called the hip flexors: together they contract to pull the thigh and the torso toward each other.

Well as I am the number one customer @knead relaxation I thought I should finally post a review.

Having had multiple ligament reconstructions and multiple broken bones surgeries etc Janice has and continues to treat me on a regular basis and with marvellous effect.

I can honestly say that Janice is a top class masseuse and her magic massage techniques work wonders. 5*'s all day long �

So I managed to put my right shoulder into spasm on Tuesday. Been feeling awful all week and taking really strong painkillers just to function. I went to see Janice "magic fingers" Mackie today and she has sorted me right out. I'm still a bit achey but have free movement and I'm so chilled out too.

I have had 3 massages from janice to date , as my lower back was so sore , and i couldn't do any of my classes which I love , so turned to janice for help , she found it was a deep muscle in my lower back so had to work very deep , which obviously wasn't going to be pain free but even after the first massage I felt a little relief, I have had 2 since and I'm back to normal, back at all my classes not a twinge now , she is fantastic and I would highly recommend her ....xx

I have been to Janice for both a relaxing massage and also for help when I done something to a muscle in my neck. The relaxing massage was amazing! I was made to feel nice and comfortable and didn't want her to stop! I came away feel amazingly relaxed after initially feeling tight all over. When I hurt my neck I was in a lot of pain, and although when getting massaged at first it was slightly uncomfortable I could feel everything easing and loosening up as the massage continued. Whether it's a nice relaxing massage to destress ,or help with damaged muscles etc then give Janice a try. You won't be disappointed! Can't wait for my next appointment :)

Had such a lovely Back, Neck & Soulder Massage from Janice on Saturday afternoon. Set in the peaceful countryside with gorgeous views over the Moray Firth it was such a relaxing place to be. Janice ensured I was comfortable on the bed and made me feel at ease throughout. Her years of experience enabled her to treat and focus on my problematic areas thoroughly. I loved that her pressure was constant throughout, which you don't always get when you're getting a massage. I was so surprised when I realised my treatment had lasted an hour! It was pure bliss to be able to be relax and get a fantastic massage. Can't wait to return again!

Delighted to have my first massage whilst pregnant to relax, help the tired swollen feet and relieve the sciatic pain on both gluteus and legs!! Janice's healing hands released all the tension and eased off all pain!! Hopefully help in a good nights rest!! Was ready to sleep after the relaxing facial massage!! Highly recommended,very professional and extremely knowledgable on these conditions!! Thanks very much!!�
