Kwik Fit Penicuik

Went here for an mot and the customer service wasn't very good. He was rude. Left feeling my car wasn't going to be looked after and that my custom wasn't needed.
After not being acknowledged as I entered, then waiting for 10minutes I decided to hand over my keys to leave before I missed the bus. I then didn't receive a phone call, 4hours later I went back to find my car had failed.
After going through the issue (which happened 5years ago as I kept the part when it fell off, and now suddenly a fail) I got quoted over £400 for a broken bracket. Looking then at my breakdown of cost, being charged for parts that just wasn't required.

I might be a female, doesn't mean I don't know anything about cars, or that trying to baffle me just won't work. Purposely not explaining things when I give an obviously confused look shouldn't make the receptionist smug.

Nice friendly staff.. who will take you home if you have to leave your car.. that's if you arrange beforehand. Staff have always been friendly. Order in parts for you. Do full service and mot. Will pass mot if it's just small things like water n window wipes as they will replace for you before passing. However I'm not sure if it's the cheapest place to go

1. Car fails MOT, Kwik-Fit says they'll order parts.
2. I call a week later and the employee I spoke to was away on holiday and hadn't passed on any info to the rest of the kwik-fit team.
3. I was then told that I would get a call back when they managed to get a hold of the employee who was on holiday. Kwik-fit haven't called me once in this whole process!
4. Still haven't heard if the parts have been ordered or not, my car has now been off the road for over a month! This has affected me getting to work everyday not to mention the stress it has caused!

Make sure that where cable ties are fitted on wheel trims and Kwik Fit remove them to carry out work that they are replaced. I didn't notice they were not fitted and now I've lost a wheel trim. Bloody Great!

Really helpful, would recommend. I was a bit lost and the guy who I think was the manager not only helped me pick the tyres/battery I needed but it was a good price too. Only had to wait 30 mins. Very professional, great attitude - what an asset to the company! Overall a really good experience.
