Visitor permits £20 per day from Kames Post Office, Royal Hotel, Kilfinan Hotel and Portavadie Marina. The club welcomes new members who are resident in Glendaruel, Colintraive, Tighnabruaich, Millhouse, or Kilfinan.

Top Powder Dam off the B8000 Kilfinan Road has good bank fishing and wading. Fly only. No spinning. No bait or ground baiting.

Loch Ascog is a 15 acre loch near Millhouse. Lovely setting with ruins of a Ascog Castle on the west bank. Castle was a Lamont stronghold until sacked by the Campbells in the 17th century.
