What a gem this restaurant is. We have been cycling from Lands End to John O Groats and happened upon La Mirage. It is a gem! Beatifully cooked and well presented food and such caring and thoughtful service from all the staff. We loved it and wish we could transport it to Kent where we live. A real find in the middle of this wild and gorgeous countryside.

Well worth a stop either heading to catch the ferry to Orkney or as a first stop. Friendly staff,freshly cooked food and big portions at very fair prices. Had a selection from menu and not a bad word on any���

Very simple - they have the best fish supper (and fish tea) in the north of Scotland and the best value - try it and you will be a convert - never disappointed.

This has to be the top restaurant in the North of Scotland and can compare with any I have visited on mainland Britain. The food is excellent the service is absolutely A1 and the ambience is perfect. In fact all in all a superb five star establishment. Not to be missed

Small fish tea (yum) and then a meringue (huge and yum), wine, friendly, as ever a real treat

Our favourite restaurant when we are on holiday....food is amazing...great selection from scones, salads and of course the fabulous fish and chips....staff are efficient and so friendly. The decor is quirky but adds to the great atmosphere a must if you are passing highly recommend ���

OMG well you would not think there is much you could say about a Fish & Chip shop / restaurant. Well you would be WRONG. In here the service is FANTASTIC and the food was just out of this world. Only wish would be you were closer to my home. This will always be on my visit list when going North.

La Mirage is a great place to eat. Fantastic highland hospitality and great food. We go there every year when we're up visiting family. Thoroughly recommend it.

If you don’t stop and have a famous la mirage meringue you are seriously missing out! A must have treat of the north! Customer service is second to none with the most lovely people who work there � I have been popping passed for years and getting my sweet treats for home x

I want to say a big thanks to all the staff at la mirage. On 13th September 2015 I was in having a wonderful meal with my parents and sisters who had come up from England to help me celebrate my 50th birthday. Unbeknownst to me the restaurant presented me with a cake. I had to take the cake home with me because I was so full from the meal which was excellent. Thank you for making the occasion so special *******

I had the all day breakfast and it was excellent!

Great food, 5 star huddie and chips, service was prompt and welcoming, couldn't believe the size of the fillet and reasonably priced

Excellent food, best meal we have had when eating out in ages. Lovely staff. Highly recommended.

Best fish and chips in Scotland without question. Been going for years, never had a bad meal. The fish is so fresh, tastes like lobster!

Another fantastic meal at La Mirage. My usual enormous yet totally healthy salad did the trick. This is more than just a salad..... this is a La Mirage salad!

Food was decent and along prices of any other decent establishment in Caithness. The decor was peculiar and the customer service was horrendous. Complained the drink I had tasted weird and I didn’t like it and was told to blame the Coca Cola company. He then proceeded to shout at me when I told him I wasn’t paying £3.50 for two ‘cans’ of Diet Coke in front of my children. Certainly advise that food was nice but the male staff member today requires urgent training.
