“Burrata is a fresh Italian buffalo milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains stracciatella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture.
... It is also defined by some sources as an outer shell of mozzarella filled with butter or a mixture of butter and sugar. This agrees with original meaning of the word burrata, literally "buttered" in Italian.

What a fabulous choice of restaurant we made last night. Table not quite ready so 2 glasses of Prosecco appeared and kept updated. Place was buzzing. Food was fantastic and staff just so attentive especially Francesco. My husband and I had the best time. Will definitely be back and will be telling everyone about it

Went a few years ago for my birthday, just booked my next visit to Edinburgh and this is already on the list of places to have dinner. Friendly staff and delicious food!

We were there yesterday it was so so busy. However we were looked after well, our waiter was tremendous . Food was excellent. Would happily recommend & return . The house speciality pasta dish was superb .

We were looking for a good, authentic pizza in Edinburgh, saw this place on the The Scotsman’s list of the best Italian restaurants. Great pizza right enough, friendly, hospitable staff, we’ll definitely be back and recommending this place to friends.

Visited here this evening, first time to Edinburgh and we chose here for my birthday meal which also suited our children. The staff where fantastic with the children, the service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We would definitely return here. Thank you x

My boyfriend and I visited on the second of our two night stay in Edinburgh as the restaurant was recommended by the gentleman on reception at B+B Edinburgh. We were not disappointed at all! Both Guide Dog Owners, we were greeted on arrival, shown to a quiet table and given time to settle the dogs. The waiter (Giuseppe I think he was called) was very helpful - he read us the menu and recommended dishes to us. I had the spicy sausage risotto and Phill went for the spicy chicken pasta. We also had a sharing bread board and two large glasses of white wine. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality of the service and food. Only observation is that there are no downstairs facilities, so I’d recommend considering that if you have limited mobility or atruggle with stairs. All in all we had a fantastic experience and wound really recommend this restaurant to others! We will definitely be back next time we visit!

Jumped train at Haymarket and was walking to Lothian Rd. to see George Ezra in concert at the Usher Hall. Walked past the restaurant and had a quick look and decided to "risk" it.

Well to put it bluntly "WOW", friendly greeting despite being dressed as an extra from S.O.A. My daughter and I were promptly shown to a table. The decor was modern and contemporary, service was quick and unobtrusive, the food was excellent. A combination of traditional but with a modern twist. Personally I had the veal in the mushroom and brandy cream sauce 10/10 and my daughter's stuffed chicken got a 10/10 as well. Pudding's were well received and were quickly demolished. Price was reasonable and our only regret was not having starters and allowing more time to dine. As a retired chef with Rosettes and Michelin experience I am fairly critical when giving praise so well done.

Have just gotten back to my hotel after the most wonderful dinner here, full to capacity but only waited a few minutes for a table, fantastic fast and friendly service, happy and funny waiting staff.. no time delays and the food was absolutely gorgeous.. I will definitely be back..
