Upstairs Chinese restaurant. Very nice staff and very good service. Good food. Not impressed by very expensive but cheap tasting wine. Deserts are okay.
Restroom downstairs next to Italain restaurant but all in one building. Never tried the Italian and we are permanently put off by the, I am saddened to say, very racist English staff, who hate Scots and others, but work in Glasgow. Why do you have to be like that? What they said the in ladies toliet was not nice.
The building is very historic. There is a tunnel running from here to the matching one on the across the Clyde. You can't use it. It used to be used for horses and carts to move across the Clyde by going underneath. The building is round because it had to be for horse & cart to walk down underneath and then up again on the other side. Wish there was information explaining about this so others will learn the buildings significance.

Tasty italian food at a cheap price

Lovely food. Very accommodating, especially with gluten free pasta (and it didn't taste like cardboard).

We visited la Rotunda on a trip to Glasgow for a concert at the Hydro. We seen there was an Italian so we went in. They gave us a set concert menu, for £18 something. We were only after a main meal so asked the server if we could just order a main, she said yes that no problem so we both ordered a parma ham & rocket pizza. Meal were quick in coming out, once we had finished we asked for the bill, it came and cost £33 for 2 pizzas and 2 soft drinks!! While we were waiting for our bill, a couple were seated beside us, they were given a normal menu. Obviously something if you have been there before you know about, we had never been before so were totally unaware of the other menu. The restaurant should give you the choice as to whether you want the special menu or not. We will definitely not be returning here on a future visit. Massively over priced for a pizza too

We pre-booked Sunday night 18/12/16 for dinner for two however until we arrived at the restaurant we were not told about the set pre-theatre menu which was on that night which was disappointing. Overall the service was slow, we had to remind the waiting staff to make and bring our drinks order and the kitchen staff were obviously waiting a long time for food service from the waiting staff. The pre-theatre menu was basic, limited and overall not what we were looking for although the food which we did settle for tasted ok.

Overall it was a very disappointing visit and I will not be back.
