Each of my students receives a well rounded musical education:

No matter what their goals, I focus on giving students a thorough education in core musical concepts such as rhythm, harmony, melody, musical form and dynamics.

My lessons are tailored individually to each student:

I work at a pace that is appropriate for each student. Except for young children and complete beginners, I largely use music that is chosen by the student so that they will be more involved in their experience. I help the student recognize their strengths and weaknesses, and then learn to create realistic short and long term goals to guide their progress. I believe that by adjusting their approach over time and learning to develop efficient strategies towards achieving their goals, students not only become solid musicians, but also more effective people in their daily lives.

I use music technology in lessons:

There are a plethora of musical resources and technologies available in the digital realm today.
I use play-along cd's, DVD's, websites, and music notation and recording programs to enhance lessons where appropriate.
