As a Mother i know how an important and difficult a decison it can be to choose who you would leave your children with. With this in mind my main aim is to always provide a warm, safe stimulating, caring and friendly, home from home environment where babies from 9 months to children of 16 years can grow an learn through creative play.

I will respect, uphold and preserve these rights and ensure that their feelings and wishes are taken into account.

My aim is to activity promote the development of positive self-image within children. To ensure that the experiences the children receive in these early years allow them to make choices and to develop a sense of responsibility for their actions appropriate to their age but also towards them becoming responsible citizens.

I will create a non sexist atmosphere by introducing appropriate toys, books, games to encourage equal development of both sexes

I will welcome parents and carers to visit my home at any time while their child /children are there, I want them to feel comfortable and happy with the service and my home at all times.

While caring for children and young people I will endeavour to ensure everything I do will help them get the best start in life and be ready to succeed. Using the ‘Getting it Right for every child (GIRFEC) guidelines set out by the Scottish government I will ensure that your Childs needs are at the centre of all planning. These guidelines covers four capacities that aim to enable every child and young person to be a successful learner, a confident individual, a responsible citizen and an effective contributor. Further information on this can be supplied for your reference if requested. It fully supports the curriculum for excellence.

I will also work closely in partnership with parents in an open and honest way to help support their routines and of course work towards the many milestones their children will have as they develop over the years.

Keeping up to date with new and current legislation, I will also continually challenge my policies and procedures to ensure I am constantly offering the highest level of childcare at my own practice regularly, as well as following inspection from the care commission.

I will provide a stimulating environment with a range of activities and experiences in my home and within the local community all of which will be appropriate to their individual ages and stages of development.

To name a few;
Children will have opportunities to socialise with other children at a range of local groups that also offer age related activities

A wide variety of indoor and outdoor play experiences and equipment will be available to help develop your Childs social, emotional and intellectual skills as well as encouraging them to make healthy choices. Having worked in the outdoor creative play industry i am very aware of the benefits of using the outdoors as an important tool for learning through play

I have a large selection of toys and resources to cater for many types of play and live in a beautiful area with an abundance of natural amenities for children to enjoy

I offer unstructured and structured play. I will regularly observe your child to support their development and records will be keep for your reference.
