Lancaster University Fass Placements & Internships Description

The FASS Internships Scheme, provides students within the faculty the opportunity of gaining an internship specially designed with FASS students in mind. The scheme takes on around 30 students every year, ranging across all FASS departments and recruiting from every academic year group.

Roles vary year upon year, but are typically based in the third sector, local government, and non-profit organisations. Host organisations from previous years have included Carnegie Publishing, The National Trust, Moonshot, Institute for Strategic Dialogue, Lancaster Arts, Lancaster County Council, to name just a few of the many fantastic organisations associated with the scheme.

The scheme has countless benefits, allowing students to develop new skills, gain degree relevant work experience, and enhance their own CV. Unsuccessful applicants to the scheme also benefit, by gaining interview experience, CV and interview feedback, and have access to regular blog posts featuring advice and case studies that will be beneficial in their future careers.
