We celebrated our wedding there recently... The setting was amazing, everything from the beautiful staircase, gardens, food, fantastic passionate staff and general ambience of this beautiful country hotel made it an absolutely perfect day!

We would certainly give it an 11 out of 10... and couldn’t faulty it!!..

Two friends and I had afternoon tea here yesterday but an oversight when booking, resulted in me forgetting to say that one of us had coeliac disease! We told the staff when we arrived expecting the worst but at this very late stage, the chef put together the most delicious gluten free afternoon tea for my friend, and my other friend and I did not have to feel at all guilty whilst we tucked in to generously filled and tasty sandwiches, huge scones with butter, jam and cream, melt in the mouth meringues and lovely, delicate tartlets which we couldn't finish but which were wrapped for us to take home. Added to the fact that we were in beautiful surroundings made the less than £20 price, very reasonable indeed. Thank you all so much for a wonderful afternoon in your excellent hotel restaurant.

This place is fabulous. A wonderful period piece set up for your comfort with terrific staff. The meals in the restaurant are first class, the rooms are large, quiet and comfortable and the gardens are relaxing and beautiful. Book in for dinner, relax by the fire with a drink while your meal is prepared and then be called to your table. The location is good for Stirling, Perth and most of eastern Scotland. Great value for money.

Spent a lovely time here. Highly recommended. Friendly Fabulous service. Will visit again.

Spend a lovely afternoon here as a treat for my mum for mothers day. Absolutely gorgeous place...huge big open fire and lovely decor in the lounge where we waited before being taken to our table. Staff really friendly and helpful. Our table was at the window with a great view and the food was delicious. Filled sandwiches, scones with plenty cream and jam, cakes and refills of tea. Cannot fault and will definitely be back.

Simply fantastic. We were in for dinner and from the moment of arrival to leaving I cannot fault a single thing. Relaxed dining experience in opulent surroundings, huge red marble fireplace, hidden doors , grand reception room. Loved it and will be back

Just popped in for a drink with my boyfriend. Got a seat by the big roaring fire- it was amazing. Staff were very friendly and attentive even though we were just there for drinks. Have eaten here before and the food is always great. Will definitely go back as this is a rare find.

I have been to the most perfect Autumn wedding at this hotel and have also now visited in Springtime to have afternoon tea. The staff, the food, the service & mostly the cosy atmosphere from the open fire is all outstanding and the location of this hotel is just beautiful too, love everything about it xxx

The whole experience was fabulous, the food was amazing and the staff are extremely helpful ( nothing is too much trouble). We dined in the Blue Room which was beautifully decorated. I just had the best time, I was visiting my friend and her family for the weekend and this was a lovely end to a fantastic time. Thank you x

Arguably the best hotel I have stayed in. It was a complete experience. The environment, furnishings, that amazing log fire. Rooms decorated to a very high standard, very tastefully and in line with the rest of the house. The food was as good as any fayre I have experienced. Staff were very friendly and attentive to all of our needs. Spent 2 nights there for my 60th birthday with my wife and we enjoyed every second of it.

Absolutely love this place it never disappoints....... whether it be for a quiet dinner; a celebratory gathering(Christmas/weddings); drinks after a long walk (with the dog- v dog friendly) or an over night stay as I say you will not be disappointed! The ambiance and food are amazing; the owners and their staff are so welcoming and friendly - nothing is too much! Such a special place.... that never changes - thank you!! I can't wait to try Afternoon tea 😁 Xx
