Lanterne Rouge

It's a busy wee place but staff still manage to provide great customer care. Well done team!

Nestled in the heart of the scenic village of Gifford, Lanterne rouge offers some fantastic coffee. We didn't have any food here, just some lovely home made cake. Ideal if you are passing on a bike as well as there is a bike stand outside for you to chain up your wheels.

Great place with fantastic food. It is a real treasure in Gifford, and perfect for local folk and visitors alike. I see there is a new-ish bike rack outside the cafe now, which is great as it has become a favourite place for cyclists to take a well earned rest. For me, I am happy to pop in for breakfast or afternoon tea and cake and enjoy the very pleasant company. well worth a visit (and dog friendly too).
