Sign up to be a Friend of Laphroaig and you can claim a plot of land out side the distillery and collect a dram in rent!
Great tour - first time we've been allowed inside a kiln drying room.
Helpful and chatty staff and three drams at the end of the tour with a glass you can keep too.
Merchandise prices were excellent! Far cheaper then other distilleries on the island.

Staff weren't overly friendly or welcoming, but we did get two free drams (one in the store and one to take home). Find your plot wasn't nearly as fun as I hoped, being that we had just walked there from Port Ellen. Whisky is good though, I have to admit that.

Best tour on Islay and super friendly staff. The entire experience is a lot of fun. The "find your plot" (albeit gimmicky) part is fun. The whisky is my personal favorite. The estate itself is fun to walk around in. The tour guide has live production and they show you EVERYTHING, and even allow pictures, so this was an amazing tour and very worth it. It's a must visit if you're a Scotch lover.

Doing a tasting here was so much fun. Be sure to go find your plot of land if you're a friend of laphroaig and collect your rent. The whole thing is so bloody wonderful.

Great distillery tour from floor malting and peat smoking to the museum in the visitors' center speaking about the history of the distillery in lovely amount of honest detail (no romantic flourishes). I wish we would have scheduled a special tasting but we were able to sample additional whiskies at the bar in the center. If you are on Islay it is definitely worth visiting.

Helpful friendly staff, excellent shop with a good range of gifts. Great little museum.

By far my favorite Scotch in all the world. The 10 year is a thing of beauty. Like drinking a glass of Middle Earth.

Besides the distillery itself, Laphroaig offers beautiful museum of it's own history, where you can see tools used in the past, and the famous 'Find your plot', which was more fun than one would imagine. You will get certificate of visit, GPS coordinates, little flag of your choosing and wellingtons (if you want them).

Also, staff is really friendly and happy to help.
