Lasswade Karate Group was founded in 1979 by former World, European, British and Scottish Champion Jim Collins who has fought all over the world. Jim has won several world individual and team titles, European championships and Commonwealth championships which gained him a fearsome reputation in the sport. Whist competing, Jim also spent time coaching adults and kids alike and believes in passing on his skills.

The clubs, currently held at Lasswade, Moredun and Dalkeith are going from strength to strength and new members are always given a warm welcome.

The only thing you need to bring along to learn is yourself and comfortable clothing. Kids are welcome from age 4 onwards.
