Lauder Camping And Caravanning Club Site

Good welcome from Helen and Brian, well placed to visit Galashiels. Many improvements including hard standing since last visit 20 years ago.

Camped here 3 weeks ago. The site is beautiful. It has a lovely little river running down the back of it and although it is a short distance from the.main road, there is no traffic noise. The site managers couldn't be more friendly and helpful. There is also an added bonus of selection of herbs you can help yourself to and plenty of wildlife to see. Fantastic holiday.

I've been slightly put-off Camping and Caravanning club sites in the past as they have always been slightly officious in their rules and regulations. To me, camping is about friendly people and being relaxed. At Lauder, though, they have it bang on. Friendliest people you could hope to meet running the place. Top class. My kids are a little too old, but if they were a little younger, a decent play-park wouldn't go amiss.

I only took up caravanning at of 70 years of age and I decided to visit the Lauder site as a trial run. On Arrival my wife and I were welcomed onto the site by Brian and Helen by saying "Welcome to paradise" and I confirm they spoke the truth. It's a great site, peaceful and very well looked after and within easy reach of many places of interest. We even took a bus from just off site to Edinburgh to see the fringe without any hassle Well done Brian and Helen you did the site proud..
