We might have a long way to go but this is still one step closer to us being open again 😊

UPDATE -
We have access and the builders will be moving in soon to start the process of getting Lauders back up and running.
We are working towards a date in March and even though it’s still a couple of months away we have a light at the end of the tunnel.
... We can’t begin to explain how excited we are to hear this news and we can’t wait to get back open.

UPDATE: The fire and subsequent demolition works caused damage to our roof and gable end of the building. This issue will be fixed very soon and is not causing any hold ups on re-opening. The 2nd and biggest issue we are having is obtaining building warrants and working with conservationists which is holding up the process. All of our plans are complete and ready to go, however, we need approval from the city council in order to commence the works. This is a slow process and ...one which is becoming very frustrating. It is even more frustrating when you consider that we plan to create 25 new job roles as well as keep our previous team. This can only benefit the city as well as getting a landmark business back open. It is undoubtedly not going to be November when we are re-opening - we will give a further update as soon as we have it. Apologies and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

Latest update:
Today the management have been informed that we will not have any access to the pub for at least two months. Everyone involved is absolutely devastated by this news, the pub is our livelihood, our day-to-day and we’re already missing it.
In regards to our staff, they have all been redeployed with immediate effect so we would like to thank all pubs involved in accepting us, an amazing effort by all, you have all hit a goldmine.
... To all of the affected businesses, our neighbours, we would like to send our condolences and thanks. It has been - as you all know - a real test of a week and the support shown has been truly admirable.
Lastly we again have to send our appreciation to our fire department. What a truly amazing job you all done, we can’t thank you enough.
