They chose to have a very traditional Scottish ceremony with a hand fasting, drinking whisky from a quaich and the groom in full traditional dress.

I loved everything about this day; the bride’s dress, the bouquet and all the little hidden places they chose to have their photos taken around the City Centre of Edinburgh.
... It was a wonderful day, even though it rained the whole time and Loraine and I were even asked to be their witnesses at the ceremony.

Lavender Blue helped me arrange a pre-wedding party that, quite honestly, I hadn't put a lot of thought into because of lack of time.



Once we decided a theme (Route 66), Gemma was so quick to get the ball rolling with ideas and setting Pinterest boards up to share what she had found. Everything suggested looked amazing and was in budget, meaning I didn't have to worry at all about the food we would serve or how to decorate. Gemma also checked in with me at every stage of preparation and that I had everything I needed in the run up to the party. She also responded to my messages so quickly (even when some of them were at rather anti social hours!).



The event ran really smoothly and that's definitely down to Lavender Blue helping with the preparation. They took what was a very vague idea and turned it into a themed party perfect for the happy couple. Super reliable, full of great ideas and always there to help. What more can you ask for from an event planner? Thank you, Gemma!

Gemma was given less than a week to put together my engagement party, over the christmas period of all times & she rose to the challenge perfectly! The whole night was perfect, with really colourful creative decorations, which perfectly fitted the theme! She also gave me some very good advice about being engaged/weddings! Couldn't recommend her more!

Gemma organised my Baby Shower for me. I gave her a (very) vague idea of what I wanted and she did everything. Sourced me some beautiful decorations/games etc and found the best prices :) She came early on the day and helped to set everything up making some fab balloon displays and helping to make everything look amazing! I had an amazing time and would reccomend Lavender Blue to ANYONE wanting some help planning an event. It was so stress free, everything was planned and ordered in plenty of time, everything was of a really high quality but very reasonably priced. Thankyou so much for creating such a special day for me, my friends and family :) xxx
