About Leap Project

LEAP is an organisation which operates in the South Lanarkshire region of Glasgow enhancing the lives of older people within the community. LEAP has served the community since 1992 after being born out of a sense of frustration due to a lack of services for older people in the Cambuslang area. This prompted a group of people to come together and make a plan to meet the needs of older people in a practical and fun way, the rest is history. Today LEAP serves thousands of members and clients in communities across Lanarkshire, remaining true to its roots through its Learning and Leisure activities, but now also supporting older people in their homes with befriending and handyperson services. It also manages three clothing swap shops, under the R: evolve Recycle brand, in Cambuslang, Hamilton and Rutherglen giving pre-loved clothes a second life and teaching people about the impact of fashion on climate change.
