About Lecropt Nursery & Bridge Of Allan Out Of School Care

Lecropt Nursery has an excellent reputation with parents and has become a favourite with their children.

Lecropt Nursery & Bridge Of Allan Out Of School Care Description

Lecropt Nursery is perfectly located for accessing public transport and joining nearby motorways, making drop off and collection stress free. The convenient location also allows staff to take children on regular visits into the community: visiting the library, parks, and surrounding green spaces.

Playrooms provide a homely feel, with daily access into the garden that is full of exciting things to explore.

The small number of children in each room makes them feel safe and secure, and ensures excellent care.

The team at Lecropt are friendly, caring and supportive of the children and of each other. They work together to nurture each child, allowing them to make friends, ask questions, explore and enjoy learning.

The children at the Out of School Care have enjoyed being in and around the wildlife garden. They enjoy exploring and seeing all the different plants and have also been making tree swings by working as a team.

A big thank you to Animal Tails Vets for checking over Chico the hamster today. Chico has had a sore eye and now has some medicine to make him feel better. We really appreciated you explaining to our children what you were doing and what would help him feel better. 🐹

Lecropt Nursery was successful in being awarded funding from the ELC Inclusion Fund recently. This was used to secure funding from accredited Makaton Central tutor, Karen Derrington to deliver the Foundation Workshop.
Karen provided staff from Lecropt Nursery & Bridge of Allan Out of School Care and Old Doune Road Nursery with a detailed introduction to Makaton combining practical approach theory and technical information. The team learned a variety of signs and symbols as... well as learning about research into sign and symbol use, the purpose of Makaton and other forms of communication.
We are really excited to use our skills learned to help build the communication pathways for everyone in the nursery. It will help with promotion of a total communication environment within our nurseries to further support our children to communicate with others. With staff being effectively trained they will be able to confidently use Makaton to support children's communication. It will further develop an inclusive environment for all our children, and others encouraging them to learn and play together.

Part of our vision at Lecropt Nursery is to ensure that everyone is included no matter what age, stage, gender, nationality, race and ability. Through inclusive practices children can learn and grow at their own pace. We visit Fountain Park regularly with our children and it is noticeable that the areas in the park could provide better facilities for inclusiveness. Play is so important for children to thrive and this needs to be accessible and safe for all. Showing children ...who do not have additional support needs that parks can include all children will help teach them how to care and include others in what they do. It teaches them that not one is better than the other and that learning is individual yet inclusive. This means that all will thrive in each other’s company. ❀️❀️

This is the fabulous Alice Sharp. Our team take great inspiration from Alice and this is a fantastic example of some simple tools and the impact on learning. (She’s also pretty entertaining to watch!) her enthusiasm for learning leaves you in awe!

GROUNDS WEEK NUMBER 4
We have been redeveloping some areas of our garden and finishing off with the planting of our bedding plants.
Our Wildlife area has had the β€œbug mansion” redeveloped. We have moved our compost bin and made a list of what’s allowed and not allowed in this. Our 4 year olds will take the responsibility of this as part of their extra responsibilities to ensure everyone works together and uses this purposefully. πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸžπŸžπŸœπŸπŸ•ΈπŸ•·
... We’ve made a start to a small world area. πŸ¦–πŸ¦•
And last but not least, made a start to our sensory den. πŸ‘€πŸ‘‚πŸΌπŸ–πŸ»πŸ‘„πŸ‘ƒπŸΎπŸ§
Many thanks to one of our Mummies for popping along to help finish off the painting of our fence (despite the rain that started this afternoon!) it was most appreciated. πŸ‘πŸ»

Today each age group went on an Easter Egg Hunt.
The 0-2s went searching in the nursery garden looking around their new plants in their new baby/toddler cosy space and in the loose part area.
The 2-3s explored the magical woodland area at the side of the nursery. (and then ran a few laps around the field!)
... The 3-5s ventured up the lane to "The Secret Garden" in their search of easter treats.

Wonderful nursery! My daughter is always so excited to go. The staff are great and there is always lots of fun, new activities for them to do. Thanks for all your great work Lecropt!

Our son has been at Lecropt from 8mths old and is now in the 1-2 room. He settled in very quickly and developed close bonds with the other children, of all age groups, and the excellent staff who look after them. I think that this has a lot to do with it being a smaller sized nursery, giving more scope for personal attention and individual development. He loves 'messy play' playing in the nurseries sensory garden and the regular trips that they are taken into the village and surrounding area. We couldn't be happier with the nursery, it's location and the staff who care for the children attending there. 5*

User

Our 10 year old daughter is a Lecropt graduate who looks back with very fond memories so Lecropt was a natural choice for our younger daughter (now almost 2). Both are very different girls but both thrived at Lecropt, had great bonds with the staff and friendships with the other children.

My son loves it here! He's been going to Lecropt since he was 8 months old. The staff are all fantastic. They do so many activities in a day and always get out and about. I love the little reports you get daily about what they've been up to. They really made me at ease about going back to work as I know he is in good hands.

My kids are happy, well looked after, educated and generally very well cared for at Lecropt. They love it, which means I love it. One of my better parenting decisions even if I say so myself!!

User

My daughter Daisy has been at Lecropt since she was 17 months old. Daisy has additional needs and Lecropt have been fabulous at accommodating these. The children are so caring and friendly towards her and she has come on leaps and bounds since starting there. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Fantastic nursery! I am loving running Boogie Beat music & movement here. Lecropt Nursery encourages outside activities such as Boogie Beat which is fantastic! Nicola and the team are focused on early years communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development and also teaching skills such as confidence, co-ordination and social skills whilst the children learn to express themselves in such a fun and relaxed environment.

Definitely recommend!
