Let It

As a parent, I have had dealings with letting agents for a total of four years whilst my daughters went through university in Bath and in Glasgow. The Bath agents were only interested in getting their fees by preying on students who had little option but to submit to their demands in a city where rented accommodation is at a premium. Customer care was always at the bottom of the list. The first let in Glasgow was a little better but getting anything done was clearly an inconvenience to the agent. And then came Let It during the fourth year!
What a refreshing change! From calling to arrange a viewing and someone turning up at the appointed time was a novelty. There were problems on our side in arranging the subsequent tenancy with my daughter not being readily available to sign the tenancy but Let It sorted these for us with the landlord who was clearly happy to accept the explanation from Let It. Prior to the tenancy Let It provided all the documentation and details of the contract, fees, deposit scheme and throughout the tenancy were impressively responsive with their communication and reaction to minor problems that arose in the flat. They were equally efficient at the conclusion of the tenancy with the final flat inspection and notification for the release of the deposit.
I am glad my four years are over and I shouldn’t need the services of a letting agent again, but if I did, the only agent I would return to without hesitation is Let It.

As anyone who has rented will be aware, it can be a bit of a nightmare at times. However, despite a major repair issue, the staff at Let It were always helpful and sympathetic in getting me sorted out quickly. When it was time for me to move on, the ending of my let was straight forward with my deposit being returned in just over a week. If and when I'm back in the area, I'll be checking to see if I can rent with them again.

Good variety of properties all over the area. Found them to be very helpful in resolving repair issues via landlord and had no issues in getting my deposit returned.

BE WARNED... All nice when you start the tenancy, however trying to get full deposit back is a nightmare. Left the place absolutely spotless but was still charged £30 for what they called a 'final inspection fee' 😳
They also tried to charge me for a lightbulb being out (despite me leaving spare bulbs.)
Wouldn't deal with them again.

All nicey nicey until the end of tenancy. Trying to charge for absolutely everything, so many fees. Saying brand new mattresses needed replaced, professional cleaners for some dust as well. If you want a place they're good, getting the deposit back you can't count on them.
