Lightworks is the design collective of Simon Hayes and Kate Bonney who specialise in site specific lighting design and immersive lighting installations. Kate and Simon have been working together for the past 8 years and have a combined experience of nearly 40 years in the creative industries. Our objective is to apply thoughtful, insightful design to bring spectacle and wonder to your audience. Previous LightWorks projects include Pitlochry's award winning Enchanted Forest which we have led the design of since 2013; Rise - the launch event of the Brent 2020 London Borough of Culture; Winter Illuminations at Stockeld Park in Yorkshire; the inaugural GlasGLOW at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens; Colours of Cluny in Forres; and Culture Creative's Christmas@ events including Kew Gardens, Blenheim Palace and The Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh. LightWorks has also collaborated on Electric Glen in East Renfrewshire, Hinterland in Argyll and Bute, The International Tall Ships Festival in Northumberland, Light Nights in Dundee, Illuminight in Kilmarnock. Light art installations include The Meadow of Light, Head in the Stars, The Orb and Tubular Baubles which have been shown at multiple events across the UK.
