Lilliput Nursery

Our Nursery is located in the heart of Dunfermline with direct access from Canmore Street car park and easy links to public transport. Lilliput Nursery is a beautiful homely house divided by three floors.

Play Rooms & Garden

Playrooms within the nursery are generously proportioned, carefully planned and extensively resources to create inspiring learning environments in which children can grow and learn with confidence.

Our Baby Room cares for children from 6 weeks to 18 months. We would then hope to advance your child to our Tweenie Room which cares for children from 18 months – 2 years. Children would then progress to our Pre-School Room, which cares for children from 2 years – 5 years.

Each playroom has access to outdoor play areas offering the opportunity for regular outdoor learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum. We have two outdoor play areas set on two levels. Our lower garden is used for planting and arts & crafts. There is a wooden see-saw and picnic sand table for physical play. Our upper garden has a wooden sand pit and wooden play house. Children find opportunities to get fresh air and have fun in a safe and secure area.

Lilliput Nursery is an established and trusted centre for early education. Staff are committed in creating an atmosphere of care, respect, learning and fun which radiates through this happy nursery.

We are passionate about quality of Early Years Care and Education. We believe that children learn through play, living, example, interaction and teaching. This concept forms the core of our ethos.

As the name suggests Lilliput Nursery is a treasure trove of excitement and fun specially designed for little people from birth to five years of age. Children attending the nursery enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities delivered in a fun, friendly and caring environment. A strong emphasis is placed on quality of care and early year’s education. Staff value and respect children as individuals and work closely with parents to ensure every families experience at the nursery is a happy one.

Practical Information

Our nursery is a recognised Investor in People, NDNA Member and registered as an ECO schools centre.

Our nursery is registered to care for 43 children at any one time.

Opening Hours

Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7: 30am – 6: 30 pm.

Full or Part time sessions available.

Full Day Session: 7: 30am to 6: 30pm
Morning Session: 7: 30am to 12: 45pm
Afternoon Session: 12: 45pm to 6: 30pm

The nursery will close @ 1pm on Christmas Eve , closed on the 25th and 26th December , close @1pm new years eve , closed on the 1st and 2nd of January.
