L'Incontro Winter Portree is looking for a Front of House Manager/ess. and also Bar/Wait staff .... Manager/ess position is a Full time position in a lively and energetic Pizzeria comprising 6 days a week from 4:30 pm until 10/11 pm. Pay starts at £10ph Plus tips, shared equally nightly. Plus free food during shift and a take-away at end of shift.
You, the successful candidate, will manage the restaurant floor both in real time, orchestrating the staff and customers to provide a quality service, and behind the scenes by managing both the bar stock and the staff rota, also making sure to maintain a high level of organisation and cleanliness.
You will be looked upon by the staff for guidance, encouragement and discipline where appropriate.( although we have a fantastic team already, we could all do better, chef included) You will also work closely with the chef communicating all stock orders and equipment maintenance/replacement, ensuring the correct information makes it to the wait staff every service and regular meeting between management to maintain our direction and to bounce ideas around, we are open to any ideas that could improve us in any way and appreciate all input.
Finally, we employ based on personality,experience is preffered but not necessary it's more important to us to maintain the fun environment and enjoyable workplace atmosphere as this is felt and enjoyed both by our customers and the staff, and even though it can and does get insanely busy the staff still have a ready smile for all, customers and fellow staff......they even smile at the chef.....(although only when he feeds them)
Bar/wait staff position is part-time, ideally for three evenings a week, from 5pm till 10/11pm. pay is £9ph. plus tips. plus free food and drink during shift with a take-away at the end of shift.

L'incontro Winter will be holding the traditional RNLI fundraiser on Sunday 30th October. From 5pm. The pizza will be buffet style, and are on us.....in return for a donation to the RNLI. Drinks you have to pay for!! Please come along and help us raise as much money as possible . No bookings will be taken as the more the merrier!! 🍕

best pizza of the isle and lovely service! it was a pleasure.

We stumbled upon L'incontro during a visit to Skye last summer. The food was absolutely fantastic and the pizza is the best I've ever had! That says a lot considering I spent time in Italy after I left Scotland. I kept dreaming of going back to Portree for pizza :) I hope that in the years to come, when I'm able to travel back to Skye and Portree, L'incontro is still making incredible food!

Beste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Auf einem Monitor kann man sogar dabei zuschauen wie die Pizza im Holzofen zubereitet wird. Service sehr nett, es herrschte eine lockere Atmosphäre im gemütlichen Ambiente. Danke �

Actually surprising (well, if you know about the chef, it's not) that the best pizza we ever had we ate in Potree, Island of Skye, Scotland.

Visited this Pizza Restaurant whilst in Portree, mainly as it is dog friendly. I ordered pizza with mackerel...cant remember the name. It was terrible! Pizza base, tomato sauce and 6 pieces of fish. Still waiting to see special menu and 2nd round of drinks. Would never go back or recommend.

Service was incredibly slow. Took ages to order a drink and the same person couldn’t take a food order. Eventually we gave up and left. Presumably someone missed us when they took drinks to an empty table.
