Lindores Abbey Distillery

Quite the best new distillery l have visited, and l have visited many. Beautifully designed and the attention to detail is incredible. Even if there was no distillery on site, the rest of the building would be well worth a visit, as a modern contemporary museum/exhibition centre. The Forsyth distilling kit looks splendid and ready for the job. (Production had not yet started - due in the next few weeks.) Next time l am in Scotland, l will certainly pay another visit. And special mention of John Hunter, the senior tour guide who took us round. His knowledge and way of presentation were outstanding. Best tour guide that l have experienced.
All together, a wonderful experience.

This independant distillery is not distilling yet so we were able to get a sneak preview of the copper stills and the behind the scenes area. It's an incredible nice building with some very nice and thoughtful design features.
They should start distilling soon (today is 5 Nov 2017) and they will do an initial Aqua Vitea release and there is also an option to flavour your own. This is part of the opening offer so it might not always be the case.
Well worth a visit, the staff we encountered were very friendly.
Its exciting to experience the (re)birth of a local distillery!

Extremely pleasant and helpful staff, excellent, in fact, seriously well presented café. First class and tasty cakes all help make this a must place for a visit. We will go back again.
