Last week was an emotional week for the practice.
After almost 34 years with the practice Dr Boyle retired.
He is a well known face in the town and we all wish him a long and happy retirement.
... The practice has also been fortunate enough to secure Dr Sengupta as a permanent member of our team. I'm sure everyone will make him feel welcome.

Urgent Prescription Policy
Due to an increasing number of requests for repeat prescriptions to be issued urgently, priority will only be given for prescriptions that cannot be missed eg diabetic medications, inhalers, angina sprays and epilepsy medication. Most medications can safely be missed for a few days and you may be advised that your prescription will be issued routinely. We will not issue urgent prescriptions for items that can be bought over the counter.... If your medication cannot be missed, the item will be issued as required and available to be collected by 5.30pm. If surgery is closed, you can take your repeat prescription counterfoil to your usual pharmacy and they can issue you with a small quantity to tide you over until your repeat prescription is issued.
Please note that in order to ensure patient safety, we do not accept any requests for medication over the telephone.

NORMAL SERVICE RESUMES 8AM -NO PARKING AVAILABLE
Normal service will resume tomorrow at 8am, however there is currently no parking available as the car parks have yet to be cleared. If patients could allow for this when attending for appointment it would be appreciated.
The practice would also like to thank the many people who offered their help, be it clinical or admin staff or those with 4 wheel drives to ensure patient care was not compromised.
... Also thanks to our local team members who worked from 7am until 6pm to keep the surgery open. Several walking the length of the town to ensure patients were looked after.
Many thanks.
