The New Ark support & activity centre

The main purpose of the centre is to create an ongoing environment for children both local and looked after (in the care system). We provide a safe, nurturing and pro-developmental environment in order to better change the outcome for many children.

We apply a method of mixing children from various backgrounds and pasts along with horses which has been proven over the past fifteen years. Our system involves an achievement based progression that is made clear to all attending. They begin with small achievable goals and are encouraged to constantly learn and develop their skills, whether they be horse related, personal skill related or general learning.

The centre is run by Lynn Miller, and her team of dedicated and inspirational young people which makes the centre a place where it's a home from home, and somewhere safe where the young people can be who they want to be.
