Leonardo Erazo combines modern techniques with established traditions to produce terroir driven wines, showcasing the Itata Valley, Chile. While employing biodynamic principals, he listens to experienced local farmers who have been naturally farming this region for centuries. Using dry farming and minimal intervention to let the grapes do the talking @littlerascalwine is pouring two examples by the glass. • Pipeno Bianco, 2017, is an expressive, cloudy-white field blend of Mo...scatel, Cortino, & Semillon from 70 year old vines which is aromatic, crisp and mineral. • Volcanico Pais 2018, is from 100 year old vines, made from Pais (Mission grape) and a dash of Cinsault. Urban winery is back by the glass and bottle @littlerascalwine and it’s cracking. . Urban Winery Project red #6 2017 Shiraz & Tempranillo .... Blackberry, black cherry, heck let’s add blueberries to add to the colour palate, a bit of spice but it’s subtle. Otella BACKTOSILENCE is our wine of the week. • The grapes come from small lots of Otella’s own vineyards, located in the most productive areas of the designation, in the municipalities of San Benedetto di Lugana, Sirmione, Pozzolengo, Desenzano del Garda. • It’s a wine of great richness and complexity without compromise, vinified as if it were a red wine, with a long maceration on the skins of at least 20/30 days. Rich and complex on the nose, clear and delicate hints of citrus and yellow fruit, with very elegant smoky and sulphurous notes.
