Loch Duart Salmon Description

Award-winning Scottish Salmon farm. Loch Duart salmon are not simply reared on our farms – our farms are purposely designed around our salmon.

Loch Duart has been rearing extraordinary Scottish salmon in North West Scotland since since 1999. We are celebrating 20 years of salmon farming in the beautiful locations of Sutherland and the Outer Hebrides.

Loch Duart aims to lead the way in salmon welfare and environmental stewardship. Our staff are pioneers who combine their expertise with innovation to develop our unique farming approach which continues to influence fish farming methods.

These approaches include low density farming, a unique rotational fallowing system, swim-throughs and a high marine content feed, to ensure the best quality, cared for salmon, asked for by name and enjoyed around the world.

We are the first fish farm in the world to be accredited with ‘RSPCA Assured’ approval, and know that welfare and taste are intrinsically connected.

This week Loch Duart Chef Patrick Evans will welcome the winners of Zest Quest Asia up to the farm in Scourie.
The students from the University of West London once again triumphed at the cook-off finals held earlier this year at Mr Todiwala Kitchen with their South Indian/Goan menu.
We look forward to the University of West London students visiting with their tutor and showing them around one of the Scourie sites!

What a great weekend at Cambridge Foodies Festival and Seafood from Scotland's pop up restaurant "Fishermans Buoy". We were joined by head chef at 12:51 - Restaurant and star of the BBC's Great British Menu, James Cochran.
Some delicious dishes created by three chefs, including this treacle-cured Loch Duart salmon with apple, radish, smoked cod roe and rye whisky dish. Thanks for having us, we can't wait for next year!
