Wow and wow again my wife and I stayed here in our tent from the 4 may till 7th of May, from the moment we arrived till the second we departed the staff could not of been more friendly and helpful especially the young girl who even loaned us her own parking disc so we could visit friends who had travelled to Dumfries to see us, I will add what and where ever and what roads to take ....follow her advice she is a mine of brilliant useful information....basically do everything she suggests (I feel terrible I never got to know her name) anyhows....The campsite is spotless the showers are free hot and not a dribble like other sites but a proper shower, the list of things to do on the site is basically endless, from canoe hire row boats pedalos and fishing, there's also kids play areas as if needed!! All in all just one fantastic well kept super friendly well ran site ....would we go back ?? ....ohhhh yes in a heartbeat ;)

WeвАЩve had a lovely week in a tent with our two boys and a dog, everyone was totally exhausted when leaving. Lots of space for kids to run around and lovely field next to a Koch for a dog to get loose рЯШК will be back 100% !!

We travelled 6 hours to get to Loch Ken and was NOT disappointed ... We have just returned. We had a fantastic week, brilliant views, pitches, helpful and friendly staff who worked until midnight to ensure the park stayed calm and children were safe and all dogs were kept on leads.Very clean, toilet and shower (free)blocks' free wifi. Plenty to do for the children, cheep water activities for all the family. Will defiantly be returning. Thank you to all the team, you do a brilliant job.

We are a family of 5 and accasionally more plus we have a dog and love touring with our 6 berth caravan.

So..... What can I say this site has a wonderful array of activities and facilities suited to all who stay here. The staff and management are a dream and always do there upmost to accommodate your every need, as well as offering a friendly and welcoming service. The site is situated in a beautiful location with access to nearby walks, sights and other attractions. You are able to bring your dinghy, canoe, kaiack and more which are easily launched into the Loch.

The shower, toilet, laundry facilities are really good and there is a wee shop at reception which has all the basics but Tesco's isn't far in Castle Douglas. There are play areas for the children and a good sense of security for your children to go off and play and make new friends. This site is very eco friendly and have won many awards for this.

We have loved our weeks stay so much and can't wait to come back ASAP!!!

Was my first night in Scotland and booked on the recommendation of a local in Dumfries. Was not disappointed - what a great start to my holiday. Stunningly beautiful and very tranquil location and staff were so friendly. Called about half hour before I arrived as I arrived quite late but wasn't a problem, just pitched up and sorted everything out the next day as I left. Only downside was I couldn't stay longer - would definitely go back. Thank you.

This is a lovely site beautiful Loch fantastic place to go with friends lovely dog walks quiet make your own fun either at Otters Pool or surrounding area water sports are great very clean food from little hut is gorgeous curried beef and cous cous best home made cakes also thank you see you next year

Sadly going home tomorrow after a Week at Loch Ken in our Tourer.

Are family has stayed at loch ken holiday park since it opened on the mid 70s about 40 years that says something from camping caravan and cottage over the road. Like to say thank you to the Bryson family and staff

Just back from our second holiday in 6 month at loch ken for the week very reasonable prices, the caravan was absolutely gorgeous very clean with great views of the loch, had a great time loads to do for couples or families the fishing is great would highly recommend it loved every minute of it it's a little peace of heaven and we will be back this year for sure рЯШНрЯШНрЯШНрЯШН

Great location, good for boating, fishing and watching red kites. Sadly there is very little walking from the site.

Excellent campsite. Just visited for 4. Nights in our Motorhome, campsite very clean and the showers are a dream and so spotless. Beautiful scenery, sadly the wether wasn't too kind to us, but that did not spoil our time there, would certainly return. Only grumble is no Motorhome waste disposal, but local layby next to camp had a drain which was helpful so long as no one was parked in front of the drain!!

Visited the local Thistle Inn in CrossMicheal .. was like going back in time to a real pub, Greta place friendly people.

Also not to be missed is the feeding of the red kites at nearby Bellymack farm @ 14.00 hrs daily...

Can't recommend this place enough пњљ came here for the 1st time for a week in July and a week just wasn't long enough. Our kids (13,11 and 6) had an absolute ball and loved every minute of it ... yes even the 13 year old пњљ!!



From Fairy door hunting, kayaking, boat pedalling and fishing , even 2 play areas we were never short of something to do.

The staff went over and beyond for us and can't thank them enough, they where all very friendly which made the stay even more enjoyable...will definitely be back .







From reading people's comments on here some have made me laugh about no wifi.... there IS wifi, signal may not always be great but your on holiday, forget the wifi and enjoy what's in front and around you



Ps.. I highly recommend 'pike' caravan, the view onto the lake is amazing пњљI could never tire opening the blinds in the morning to it .

Amazing place, with gorgeous views lovely big park for the children to play in. Lots of lovely walks, my little boy really enjoyed collecting chestnuts from the trees on the park. Shower blocks are really clean and modern and the showers are nice, warm and powerful. We had such a fab weekend here and will definitely be back.

Always had a great time at the Loch Ken Holiday Park. The staff are always helpful. Nice showers and toilets. I just wish I could go more often рЯША

Absolutely amazing place my kids loved it and itвАЩs the most relaxed weekend IвАЩve had in years and we had awesome company to spend our weekend with thanks to Gavin and Clare and to Ben Lillie and Noah for being great company for Lewis Ryan and Sophie canвАЩt wait to our next visit and it was even more special having my Dad down on his birthday weekend 2 рЯСНрЯПЉвЭ§пЄПрЯПіу†БІу†БҐу†Б≥у†Б£у†Біу†Б њ
