This lovely lot are West Dunbartonshire Motor Cycle Group, and they're raising funds and awareness for Robin House in Balloch. When they approached us asking if they could finish their charity bike rally here at Loch Lomond Shores, we couldn't say no - Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) is a cause very close to our hearts.
So, pop down and see them tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. We're expecting them to arrive at about 1.30-1.45 ish, so pop down to say hello. They'll be bringing the purple sparkly trike, if you fancy a look at that up close!
And, if you can spare a pound or two, you can donate to CHAS here - we know they appreciate every penny: https://www.chas.org.uk/donate

We’re big fans of Loch Lomond Brewery. (And particularly, it should be said, of Southern Summit...👍🏻🍺). Fiona and Euan are currently fundraising for new, larger premises - so if you fancy owning a part of an award-winning, local brewery, now’s your chance.

This weekend we've got wine drinking, sales shopping, ocean exploring, treetop walking, market browsing, and all sorts of outdoor gallivanting. But if that sounds a bit too much like hard work, then sit back, relax and enjoy the view...
See what's on here: http://bit.ly/2m7ZQIA

We spy chocolate orange brownies... That'll be the diet blown AGAIN!

Go on, you know you want to. Otherwise we WILL eat all the brownies... 😉🍰

What a beautiful day we had at lomond shores. Beautiful scenery. Children playing in the water. Lots of boats and paddle boats with everybody having lots of fun in the sunshine. Buskers singing there best songs and were very entertaining. Just a pity we had bad service at the restaurant in the balcony. And the coffee shop closed at 5.30pm. We think the coffee shops should stay open a little later while the sun is shining.

Visited Santa's Grotto yesterday, we had a fantastic experience. It wasn't busy so not much queuing, but the elves were all lovely and Santa was great - spent lots of time with us, making my wee boy feel relaxed. All the extra touches with the film, train, reindeer food just added to the experience. Thank you.

User

Stunning shop! Such kind staff

User

Spent the day with the family seeing Santa. Loved it ! From the watching of the video to the writing santa a letter and the train, then into seeing santa. Definitely would go back next year.

User

Reading some of the reviews you may be put off, don’t be, honestly it seriously amazes me what people expect these days! We had a great day. My 2 1/2 yr old enjoyed colouring in, juice, message from Santa, train ride, gift, certificate, reindeer food and a great day out! Well done all involved! See you next year! Xx

User

Me and mybwife decided to go for an evening drive. We ended up at Loch lomond shores. We has a walk and got some great pics but it was how peaceful itvwas, just the 2 of us having a chilled evening. I Would recommend Loch lomond shores to anyone and if you get a chance get yourself there

User

Just done the Santa experience yesterday evening, kids had a lovely time great value for money the first part was fun writing a letter to Santa and making reindeer food kids then enjoyed the train ride to Santa.... There was a bit of a queue to see Santa but really didn't take that long and it was because Santa spent his time with every child chatting patiently and giving them his full attention and I think Its better to queue for a while knowing that Santa is giving his full attention to the children and not rushing them, I did hear a few parents complaining about the wait but really what would they prefer? A rush job in and straight out with Santa? And I do understand if you're a single parent the queue is a pain but we just took it in turns to save our place in the line while taking the kids on the rides and attractions nearby but really the queue took 20 mins tops. Santa and his elves were very kind and really made my children feel special they were never rushed and the toy they received is great I was fully expecting some pound shop style tat but was pleasantly surprised that it's a quality good toy.... My little girl has not stopped playing with it and I can't wait till the batteries run out! Ha! The elves took photos on our mobiles for us so we didn't feel pressure to buy the professional photo yet we bought it anyway as it was so nice. I think this was great value for money the toys alone was probably worth the price of our tickets. Would recommend

User

I was really impressed , what a beautiful place lots for kids n adults to do .

Shops excellent , which can't be easy for owners , think they should get discounted rates and rents to make accessible to people who would like to rent shops , don't think us Scots don't enof for tourism it should and could be massive rain or not. What a beautiful place and a lot of people trying hard to keep business going. Can't believe people own boats definitely led a sheltered life . Well recommended . Had a meal in duckbay marina which was really impressive and affordable WELL DONE SCOTLAND

User

Had an enjoyable cruise on the loch and looked around the maid of the loch as it brought back happy memories of my childhood when my aunt had a caravan on the shore of the loch. My only complaint is as I had to walk from the railway station the pathway is a disgrace, uneven and full of potholes it was bad enough trying to walk on it I certainly would not have liked to be pushing a pram or a wheelchair

User

Great place to spend a few hours at the weekend. Parking is good but hard to locate near to the main entrance for shopping.

User

Friends and I had a great day yesterday at the Food Festival. It was a beautiful day too which helped. Stalls were great. You buy as little or as much as you want. Musicians were really good. A good fun day.

User

Fabulous bird of prey centre. The birds are spotlessly kept and very happy. Orla (her majesty) is amazing. And as always Stewart Robertson is a great host. The sea life centre is great for kids and my grand daughter loved seeing the little otters feeding. We can't wait to go back x

User

Done the santa experience yesterday with my son (3) and my friend with her 3 boys (12) (7) & (2) they all had an amazing time, being wrapped up warm is a must with the weather conditions atm which staff have done all they can to provide heaters & shelter to make it better while waiting to see santa the train was very fun for all ages & the elf staff/santa were very professional making the kids feel very special. For the prices we paid it was definitely worth the money, and Toy from santa is decent, price's for photo's are also very reasonable and you have the option to use your phone to take your own.

User

Brilliant day out loads too see n do

Enjoyed it so much we're Going back in 2 weeks afternoon tea in the maid off the loch was fab too delicious and staff so friendly. The boat rides and walks were amazing

User

A beautiful location for a retail centre with the best views ever. There is a chilled atmosphere even on a busy day and plentiful parking. The staff are kind and really helpful. Highly recommended!

User

This is a beautiful area. I've been before and it seemed a lot more crowded. We made it to Balloch and then up to Luss. I made the mistake to go down the hill instead of the walking path. My footing gave way and I did a mudslide and fell so quickly. My son came racing after me and did the same thing. I should have known better. We had to sit on Luss shopping bags all the way back to our home. Let's be honest....the scenery gets a 5. There wasn't any shopping for our needs. It was awfully crowded and the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs tourist center was closed. Close destination to Glasgow. We're from Fife.

User

It was somewhere to go. Had a perfectly average lunch in the restaurant's. Nothing to buy that isn't on offer here in Glasgow at the same price or cheaper. Would really like to see The Maid of the Loch running again.

User

Up almost every weekend on my boat on the loch but as for a family destination it's dull over prices terrible road in and out the place is designed for tourist with no consideration to local loch users shops are not for younger generations and the sea life is below average there's more to see at duck bay beach... overall love the area but hate what its trying to be

User

It’s not all that it’s made out to be. Ok for kids with plenty of play areas but only one major store in the presence of Jenner’s . No cafe services other than Jenner’s cafe. Really disappointing
