Ardnamurchan Playscheme was all about Space today, and the aliens left lots of challenges for us to complete. Great team work and lots of fun finding out about biodiversity, pollution, recycling and invasive species. Ardnamurchan Active Schools Ardnamurchan Library
World Ranger Day ūüćÉūüćÉ
Eco Club at Ardnamurchan Library was all about bats this afternoon - a quiz out in the sunshine followed by the bat survival game and some crafts and poems inside to cool down ūü¶á‚ėÄÔłŹ Next week is Playscheme week with ranger and library Space themed activities on Wednesday. Eco Club will be back on Thursday 8th August - get in touch to book your place!
Todays theme was garden birds, but the real star of the show was this huge Boletus mushroom. It‚Äôs amazing what you can find on a ‚ÄúShort Walk into Nature‚ÄĚ. Join us every second Wednesday, 11am at Ardnamurchan Library
A great location and beautiful sunshine made our Golden Eagle Treasure Hunt at Achnaha Community Woodland this week a huge success. Thanks to everyone that came along to join in the fun! Morvern Games and Gala Week Morvern Community Woodlands
Our Eco Club at Ardnamurchan Library this week was all about moths, butterflies and dragonflies. We tried some butterfly identification, looked at what was in the moth trap and played the dragonfly survival game......great fun! Join us next week - Thursday 2-3.30pm ūüôā

We had a rather special house guest this evening....a pipistrelle bat! Bats sometimes find their way into living spaces, particularly at this time of year. If uninjured, they usually just need a drink and somewhere quiet to rest until darkness. This little one happily flew away after sunset ūü¶á Video editing by G.
