Excellent food and friendly service a must if ever on Arran

The hotel benefits from having a captive market. It's the only bar in Lochranza. It's a very nice, no-frills bar. My lasagna and chips was tasty. If you like your whisky then you'll have a huge selection to chose from.

Pub grub was terrific. Steak and venison pies fantastic. Served quickly by friendly staff and portions were very generous. Nice 🍺 garden too for enjoying the sunshine and tranquility of surrounding area.

Top service by the new barman. He did a great job with a smile on his face. The food was really pretty good, which surprised us as it was as a Sunday in April. Big servings, fresh salad, nothing fancy, just the basics done well. Very satisfying.

Food was only ok but friendly atmosphere and affordable food and drink.

Decided spontaneously to venture on to Arran,following an overnight stop in Loch Lomond.
Booked last min on way to ferry with expedia.
Could have walked to Lochranza Hotel from ferry. What an outlook this property has! Fantastic views from our front facing room.
Ruins of a small castle within walking distance, & bus stop directly outside to enable exploring rest of island.
Rooms are basic but very clean & comfortable. Lovely front garden to enjoy late afternoon tea or drink with stunning sunset reflections on the water.
Big bonus was family of deer that came to feed in vacant plot nearby.
We ate here in evening and were surprised how lively& busy bar area downstairs had become from the sedate atmosphere earlier, however, as guests our dinner order was serviced swiftly & food was very good despite the surge in demand. Breakfast next morning was equally improve, & thankfully quieter.
Janet, took care of most of our stay and was lovely & helpful. Would recommend this hotel and will return for sure!
