We were married here on Friday 25th May 2018 and it was more than we could’ve ever wished for, for our wedding day........utterly amazing! Our guests were blown away by this stunning venue and the staff are second to none! A huge thank you to Laura who has been an outstanding coordinator, very professional, organised and helpful especially during a little bus mishap! All the staff have been incredible from our first meeting to the end of our stay. A very special place which we will visit with very fond memories. Thank you from our hearts xxx

We just stayed in one of your beautiful lodges. Couldn't fault anything. Staff were very lovely and helpful, food was lovely, spa was relaxing, everything was nice and clean and tidy. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you for a very easy and welcoming experience.

We haven’t had our wedding here yet but under heartbreaking circumstances have brought it forward 2 years and it is now in just 10 weeks time . I was so happy that the lochside had a cancellation and therefore a date available. The staff at the lochside , especially Laura, have been second to none and have made a very terrible time for our family a whole lot easier �.



Also thank you to Nicola the chef and the waiting staff in the restaurant who gave my dad the recipe for the soup that he loved aswell as a bag of Tupperware’s full of it ! It’s all he can eat now and he is delighted he has found a great one. You all go above and beyond and I can’t wait to see what our wedding day will bring . We can’t thank you enough xxx

We had our wedding day here on 5th of April and our day was just perfect! Cannot put into words how amazing this venue is and also our wedding coordinator Emma couldn’t have been more helpful. The day ran so smoothly from start to finish not one complaint I could make at all!! Little details such as our names on the plates and our gorgeous gift in the honeymoon sweet were just lovely. Thank you so much!

We had a girlie night in a cabin, 10 of us fitted in comfortably, it was perfect, everything you need is there, absolutely spotless, the hot tub was a huge hit with everyone, lunch and breakfast was lovely, Spa and treatments were great, would highly recommend this place, unfortunately can’t get booked again till later in the year

We got married 9th of June 2018. Beautiful venue & stunning meal. Meals normally fail on “too good to be true” venues but on this case it was 110% perfect on both parts! I just want to thank Danni for everything she done for us to make our wedding perfect.. I couldn’t of asked for a better coordinator ...Gary & I had the best day ever & im so sad it’s all over! We wish you well on the future Danni on becoming a Mummy!

We celebrated our Ruby Wedding at the end of April at Lochside. All the planning of the party was done very efficiently by the staff. Emails were answered quickly and nothing was a bother to Laura and Emma. Danni looked after us on the night and I enjoyed it more than our original wedding! Would recommend Lochside to anyone looking to have a wedding or party

We are just coming down from cloud 9 after our wedding at lochside at the weekend on 10th March 2018 & it was amazing! All our guests where blown away with the venue, the food was amazing, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and the wedding coordinating team where second to none! Huge thank you to emma who was our coordinator who ensured everything ran like clockwork and that all was set up without me having to lift a finger! A private dining area was arranged for us the night b4 which was an amazing surprise and special touch and our night b4 in the lodge made the getting ready process so enjoyable and relaxing for me and the girls. Lochside will always hold a special place in our heart now and we will return again and again to visit the place we wed. Thanks to all involved for making it the day of our dreams! � xxx

Just come back from a day at lochside spa. Well what can I say. It's been the best spa day I have ever had from start to finish. Had the lochside experience and would highly recommend it. Lunch was lovely to, staff couldn't do enough for u. Will definitely be back. Thanks to Isobel my theorists for the day. So so relaxed.

Just back from a 2 night stay in the Oakwood Lodge for my mums surprised 50th! Amazing lodge with beautiful decor. Only a couple of things we noticed that could be reviewed I.e updated hot tub that lets regulate temperature, a lick of paint within the lodge as there were some marks on the wall upon arrival, a broken door handle which the maintenance man had knew about for a while, new sofa beds as you could feel everything and also a cigarette burn mark on the table outside. It did not however dampen our stay, we loved having somewhere luxury we could have a lovely weekend. And the food within the Afton restaurant was beautiful! I am already looking at booking again! Very impressed! Thankyou!

co-ordinator and her team at lochside worked hard making the wedding magical and just the way me and my husband envisioned it to be, countless ppl approached me to sing the venues praises, we are over the moon and wish we could do it all over again and would not change anything, the hotel went over and above to make the wedding personalised, they even provided personalised gifts and other extras that were not in our wedding package would highly recommended. thank you...thank you.... thank you.... ���

Could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. A stunning location with friendly & attentive staff and amazing food, it really was the perfect location. Laura was an absolute Godsend and ensured that our day ran smoothly. We would not hesitate to book Lochside if we had to arrange our wedding all over again and would not hesitate to recommend it to couples looking for their perfect venue!

After getting married here on the 28th May last year, we were excited to return yesterday for our anniversary. Our wedding was amazing and definitely would recommend the Lochside as staff were so attentive and everything went according to plan. Food never disappoints and views are amazing. The staff and manager went over and above yesterday to welcome us back to the Lochside and we could not have asked for anything more

5 Stars is not enough for Lochside. We have already booked our wedding for next year at Lochside however last night was the first time we have stayed. The garden suite was stunning and a beautiful touch from staff giving us drinks and ‘ Happy Anniversary’ strawberries and chocolates in the room. Thermal suite and massage amazing and the meals absolutely stunning. I already loved Lochside now I’m totally in love. Attention to details and staff are outstanding. Cannot wait to get married in such a stunning place xx

Stayed in the Hotel last night with an itison deal and really enjoyed it. we had a few issues over our stay, 1st i nearly got locked in the bathroom a quick mention to reception and it was quickly replaced with a new door part by maintenance.

The treatments we received (scalp neck and shoulder massage) were fantastic and very relaxing.

lunch time meal was lovely delicious salmon especially. The meal at dinner was also lovely the scallops were some of the best we tasted and originally from north west Scotland that takes some beating.

Unfortunately the Steaks we ordered came out cold however, it was dealt with promptly and professionally, staff were very apologetic.

We stayed in room 14 and it was lovely although i did wake up with what a thought was a man standing over our bed, in full mac and knee high wellies... wonder if ghosts are common in the hotel, with the fire alarm this morning i forgot to ask at breakfast.

Booked through an itison deal for an overnight stay for our 15th anniversary. I have quite a few dietary restrictions which make eating out difficult, so I emailed and called ahead with the list of what I'm not allowed. I got the impression at dinner that they hadn't passed on the details to the kitchen and they were having to figure something out in the moment.



Having said that, our lovely waitress Emma and the chef were extremely helpful and ensured I had a lovely meal. I'm very thankful to them for their efforts as so often eating out with dietary restrictions can mean you end up eating nothing but a plate chips and few salad leaves.



At breakfast however they definitely hadn't had any forewarning of my restrictions leaving me with few choices. They were able to omit the things I wasn't able to eat from my order, but this left me with a rather empty plate.



The spa and treatments were wonderful and our room was very comfortable. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and will be coming back when we have the chance.

It was my sons birthday at the weekend and he decided he would like to have his birthday meal at Lochside. We booked a table for 4 adults & 2 children. Our starters arrived & they were only ok ... not very warm , but we never said anything. The main course arrived and to say I was disappointed was an understatement... I ordered chargrilled chicken & tagliatelle .. I searched & searched for the chicken ... no chicken ! When I complained I was told that the chef must have forgotten to put the chicken on the dish??!! The other adults in my company all ordered sea bass ... it must have been low in stock as you again had to search for the sea bass - it was ridiculously small. Our side orders arrived when everyone was finished their meal .

I am a regular at Lochside and we tend to come here for almost every family / friends occasion and I've never had such a bad meal here . I was so disappointed & annoyed that our experience was not up to standard.

Booked a lodge for 11 girls with the hydro pool, received email confirmation only to be given a lodge with the small hot tub when we arrived. The HOT tub, was freezing and despite numerous complaints to the Manager it didn’t heat up. When we booked the main reason for choosing Lochside was the hydro pool, otherwise we would have went elsewhere. Not only that the lodge was freezing, again, despite the best efforts of the Manager to fix it. Such a shame as the actual lodge was stunning and the grounds gorgeous but a massive disappointment after paying almost £1,000 for the night.

Very disappointed this time! Our favourite place to be well this was until last night. We were put in the upstairs side of the hotel a part we had never stayed in before and wow what a let down. Very small room, shaky toilet and a chip out the bath. Ripped wallpaper on way to walking to the room also in the hall. You could hardly move in the room with 2 people in it. The room was very uncomfortably warm during the night and opening the window with 50mph winds wasn’t an option! Also the view and the noise of the kitchen fan from the room was very off putting. This ruined our experience and at one point we thought of going home after our spa treatments. We weren’t the only ones left feeling this way after a chat with a few residents in the hotel that were staying on the same part. I feel deflated about the place I called my favourite break away. My mum had to take time off work to babysit as well as us taking time off work to use our voucher up , wasn’t worth the hassle.
