Who will be the 2018 Champions? The Lothians Boys Championship, sponsored by Golf Fit and supported by Edinburgh Leisure, is being held at Braids No 1. Starting with the 18 hole qualifying event on Sunday 27 May, we then have the match play stages on the evenings of Tuesday 29 May to Thursday 31 May. The main prize is the prestigious Spiers Trophy won in the past by great players such Ronnie Shade, Bernard Gallacher and Andrew Oldcorn. Once again there will be age group mat...ch play stages so, as well as those fighting for the Spiers Trophy, this is a great opportunity for those in the Under 14 and Under 16 age ranges to gain valuable experience on this spectacular course. Several younger players made their mark last year and went on to play for the Lothians age group teams and gain places in the winter coaching squads. The championship is open to all players who are under 18 on the 31st January 2017 and who’s handicap is 18.4 or better.

The weather delayed Annual General Meeting of the Lothians Golf Association will now take place on Wednesday 21 March 2018, 7.30pm at Liberton Golf Club. Thanks to Liberton for accommodating us and we look forward to welcoming representatives from all our member clubs and societies.
