We have cancelled a few things this week due to the heat. The storm last night, I thought would clear the air, however temperatures are forecast to soar.
This isn’t a weather forecast.
... I think it’s worthwhile pointing out, yes people in Spain and countries like that, cope better. This is because they are used to it and equipped to deal with it. We aren’t. We don’t have air con or adjust our working day to suit. Ideally I’d be holding classes at 7am not 7pm. The dogs have been warm all day and are pretty flat by mid afternoon.
During the day, the pavements are so hot it’s foolish to walk dogs on them, the centre has no air con and is literally a tin box.
So if we cancel your class or appointment it’s because we care about your dogs health and also their training.

You can’t get to the centre via Preston Road due to road works. The area marked red is where the road is closed. To gain access you need to enter Braehead road from Moray drive. The area marked green is the diversion.
... This closure is for 4 weeks. So give yourself time for the diversion.

Another busy day for our Scent teams..
Today's classes were hosted by Urban Nature Retreat. Lots of new search areas and the distraction of a whole host of animal noises and smells to work around... The dogs were amazing!

Thank you to the Basset Griffon Vandeen Club for inviting our Lothlorien Sniffers Team to run a scentwork competition at their fun day today.
Lovely dry weather, great dogs to watch and our sniffers team dogs done us proud as great ambassadors for Lothlorien!

Fleas reaction to Cairn Gorm (he’s sitting facing downhill). We didn’t go up due to super high winds and I got an epic cramp! Home time now. Two very happy dogs who have enjoyed their holidays

Flea in the huff because it was too windy for dogs to do Munros yesterday. But instead he enjoyed traditional Scottish music & games by the fire.

Saski had a 121 at home today. We done some training around the house and took plenty of breaks. It’s so hot in Glasgow today! 🌞

The humans said we were going to see ospreys. Osprey must mean fresh air in human language, they said it was a big bird of prey that’s wing span is wider then my mum can reach. We think they’re fibbing. So we had a paddle and are now sunbathing. It’s beautiful ridgeback weather today
