Loudoun Gowf Course, situated in the heart of Ayrshire is the World's last remaining 'Gowf Course' for over 400 years.
Loudoun Gowf Club Description
The first question usually asked about Loudoun Gowf Club is why "Gowf Club"?
It would appear that the Gowf Field of Loudoun, so called as far back as records are available, was the private Gowf field of the Loudoun family and had been in existence from the early sixteenth century. Gowf has been played on these fields for over 400 years. It is believed that this ground has never at any time been under the plough in all these years. One can therefore appreciate why the turf at Loudoun is unique and probably among the finest of any inland course. Indeed, Hampden Park, the legendary home of the Scottish national football team, was returfed from the rough along the road side around 1920.

Hello,
After a walk around the course with the Head Greenkeeper, numerous fresh divots were seen. Mats are still operational until further notice.
Members seen playing from the fairways without the use of a mat will be asked to appear before the Committee to explain their actions.
... These measures are put in place during the winter months so that the members can enjoy "divot free" fairways at the start of the golfing season.

We are holding a information evening to do with the new Golf Simulator on Monday 25th of Feb from 7.00pm. Members will be shown how to set up driving range and practice mode as well as how to set up a course and enter your name etc. I will be there until 9pm so please come along at any time in this two hour window and learn all the ins and out about the set up. Happy to try and answer any question members may have.

Casual bookings now being taken for simulator room. You can call the office between 9.00am and 12 noon and the bar between 12noon and 5pm to make a booking. We are hoping to have the online booking system up and running in a couple of weeks. Charges are as follows Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm £10 per hour, 5pm - 10.00pm and all day Saturday and Sunday £20 per hour. We will be holding a evening soon to show members how to set it up either to play a course our use the practice facility.
