**Bullying behaviour**

We welcome and will engage in constructive discussion and criticism, but we will not tolerate any form of aggressive or bullying behaviour on our page towards our staff or other users. If any member of our page feels that they are being bullied via the page, please contact us at digital@east-ayrshire. gov. uk Examples of bullying behaviour can include:

* Derogatory remarks
* Rude or aggressive posts or comments
* Insensitive jokes and pranks
* Insulting or aggressive behaviour
* Inappropriate public criticism

If aggressive behaviour or bullying persists after a private warning, we will remove any offending posts or comments and report such behaviour to Facebook. This behaviour may also result in a permanent ban from our page. We will not tolerate any discrimination against anyone on the grounds of their race, colour, nationality, religion, ethnic or national origins, sexual orientation, disability or age.

**Moderation**

We reserve the right to remove content posted on the wall at our discretion. We will also not accept repetitive posts or posts that we consider not to be relevant in the context of the page (spamming). We will delete posts which infringe the copyright of third-party websites (by posting an entire news article, for example). We will also remove comments which stray to a considerable degree off-topic, in order to ensure a proper discussion can take place on a given subject. We will not participate, encourage or condone any behaviour that is illegal, dangerous or offensive to other people and we will remove links to websites or other sites that express views counter to what East Ayrshire Council is trying to achieve or which go beyond the boundaries of normal debate by being offensively derogatory. If this behaviour persists after a warning then we reserve the right to ban individuals from the page.
We apologise to the few people who may not meet criteria for having their contributions published – it’s not personal but our main aim is to have discussions without anyone feeling that they are being attacked. If your comment has not been published please consider these points and resubmit your comment respecting these guidelines. Please do not post personal details including address or PIN number on the Facebook page.

East Ayrshire Council’s Executive Committee agreed today not to support the release of sky lanterns or balloons in support of the NHS and to formally prohibit such activity in all public spaces in the ownership of the Council. This will also apply to all East Ayrshire Leisure sites. This decision was taken in response to a request received from NFU Scotland, who highlighted the risk of starting a fire or causing harm to wildlife and livestock through ingestion of these products. Travelling by Car for Exercise Whilst during this period of lockdown, getting outside for exercise is permitted, Government guidance clearly states that there should be no travelling by car to do so. There are a number of areas within East Ayrshire where this guidance is not being followed and so steps have been taken to close car parks and restrict access to those who are still travelling to these areas. Police will be monitoring these sites so please follow Government guidance this Easter weekend and stay local for your daily exercise. #StayHome East Ayrshire Council Police Scotland Ayrshire Police Division

Hello all Roon the Tooners,
As you know the Roon the Toon 10K is postponed till 30th August 2020. However the brand new Roon the Toon Virtual 5K series is now LIVE!
This is a series of 3 races taking place in April, May and June. Due to social distancing restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, it is a virtual race where runners do the distance on their own, anytime over a 2 week period. However you are competing against others, and as it’s a handicap race, you... all have a reasonable chance of winning. There are prizes as stake so it’s worth giving it a go.
It is free to enter but we do hope to also raise some cash for Coronavirus related charities. All the details are here - http://ow.ly/Ua3Z50z0fVc
Good Luck
