Grand chipper, burger did the trick
We have a take away from the Lournie Chipper about twice a month. It is rarely other than exceptional.
three times ive been here, chicken has had a sour smell and couldnt eat it. tasted quite off. only good thing that was good was fish and chips. never again
Ridiculously high prices for what is a very average 'chippy'
The chips are great. Not your soggy fatty sort of chip but a crisp and 'home style' sort of chip that had various size and texture. The fish is fresh (you can tell) White as snow and had the texture that let it break open into flakes. Must admit the staff could try smile. The batter is crisp and light. First time I tried Haggis and it was nice. located half way up the high street so you can't get more local than that. No tables so get and go! But I did stand in the corner and ate out of tray like normal people do as others were served! (it was cold outside). If you can try the 'Crown' Pub, (not far away) it's a nice place to sit after your grub.
The fish is amazing, probably the batter that does it. The chips are sometimes good, sometimes not so good :-\
