We love this makeover by Amanda with the help of the kids. This mud kitchen was made by Amanda's dad a few years ago but needed some TLC. Using Annie Sloan Emile, Svenska Blue and Athenian Black it's been given a new lease of life. Amanda sealed the paint with Annie's new Matt Lacquer which has UV protection which is perfect for outside furniture. Great job guys, it's great to see your finished project. Hello 👋 How is everyone holding up? We hope you are are staying safe at home. Things have been really busy behind the scenes for us as we have been working hard to move the shop to a virtual platform and spending time looking at ways as to how we can remain as a supportive local business in your community. One thing we have now is a bit more 🕑 time on our hands and to demonstrate we have put up a clock in our home which has been on our list of things to do......for a long time! 👆 What do you think? It's hard to stage a home when you have two dogs about and no shop to show things, so hopefully this is a good substitute. I’m delighted to release this sublime, shimmering finish into the wild. 2020 marks 30 years since I invented Chalk Paint®; and Pearls are the gift traditionally given to celebrate that milestone. So what could be more appropriate than this gorgeous, opalescent Pearlescent Glaze?
It’s also not completely brand new, but a harkening back to the early days of Chalk Paint®. Many years ago I did have a Pearlescent Glaze. This one is sparklier, easier to work with and has the durable finish of a Lacquer.
It’s also rather beautiful mixed with tiny additions of Chalk Paint® colours to create an array of opalescent pastel shades, can be used to recreate traditional mother-of-pearl inlay, or simply applied to give a gentle highlight to your work. A little sprinkle of sunshine arrived today ☀️ The wonderful Catherine from @scottiesketchco created a gift range of Falkland Palace just for us. Aren't we lucky! We will be adding these to our website in the next few days, in the meantime if you would like to pre order anything just let us know. We have mugs, coasters, tea towels, prints and cards. Today we made our weekly visit to the shop to check on our plants and organise your paint orders. These 2 'African Milk Plants' need a new home. They aren't coping very well with poor light and no heat. If you are passing the shop.....please take one home 🌿 LRx
