With its rich clinical heritage, Lustre Skin Ltd (formerly known as Ambicare Health) has developed a portfolio of wearable light sources for medical and consumer healthcare applications as the result of pioneering work undertaken at the University of St Andrews and Ninewells Hospital Department of Dermatology. We have broadened our portfolio of innovations to now cater to Skin Rejuvenation as well as Beauty tech tools and private label services. Lustre Skin's technology is clinically proven, and spearheaded by Professor Ifor Samuel, PhD in Physics from Cambridge and Founder of the Organic Semiconductor Centre at St Andrews, and Professor James Ferguson, consultant dermatologist at Ninewells. Lustre Skin has developed two distinct LED based product lines. Ambulight PDT and LUSTRE ClearSkin are both clinically proven and convenient to use, for the treatment of specific dermatological conditions: non-melanoma skin cancer and acne. Lustre Skin's patented platform technology allows the user to ‘wear' the light delivery device, enabling the treatment to be delivered safely and conveniently. The patented mechanism delivers improved end results through consistency of the light delivery to the skin. Our range of LUSTRE ClearSkin products is CE certified indicating conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). LUSTRE ClearSkin has also been awarded clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the over-the-counter sale of its LUSTRE ClearSkin system for the treatment of mild to moderate acne, spots and pimples. Lustre Skin is an ISO 13485: 2016 certified company.
